We still make the rear hybrid, but we don't have a front.

Yes, but it's near the end of our very long list of bumpers.

Well Heck! Throw me in the mix.

I live in Laramie, WY. I own a reputable auto repair facility called Hometown Garage. I just bought my 2016 Inferno TRD Off Road double cab shorty last Friday, so it's as virgin as it gets. I've put 250 miles on it and plan to do all of the upgrades at my convenience, which is tough because getting a day (or two) and a stall in my own shop is next to impossible, as we are constantly busy with customer repairs. My old '99 took me about 2 years to complete the solid axle swap, and after that, I still never had time to dial in the suspension, and eventually lost interest, which is sad, because I cut my teeth off roading and rock crawling before they called it rock crawling. I own an old FJ40 that was my brother's in high school, which is fun but not modern and reliable. My wife has a cool FJ Cruiser that she rarely lets me wheel.
This "makeover" on my truck may void the warranty, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. I really want to get back to my roots of wheeling and that is why I bought this truck! This would also clear up a lot of smokey info that I get in some of these threads, i.e. which lifts fit which tires, blah blah blah! I also am a big fan of the Demello prototype bumper and will purchase if I don't win this contest. I've never won anything in my life, so what the heck! Oh I guess I did win a buck from a scratch ticket one time that cost me $2.00 if that counts. Oh and I could possibly drop the truck off for the build or trailer it somewhere, because it's a far drive from anywhere.

P.S. I bought a Toyota (again) because I'm not planning on using my warranty. Even if I had time to take a vehicle in for repairs, I would have bought a Jeep if I were planning on using any warranty!

    So we can enter here?

My name is Kris, I recently graduated with my Master’s degree and am neck deep in debt. While in school I did the one thing I said I wouldn’t do and became romantically involved with a classmate- we have been together going on 2 and a half years now. While I’m being hounded about buying diamonds and a ring for her finger, all I really want to buy is steel armor and rubber for my wheels. If I chose steel over diamond- I may just lose the woman of my dreams. I’m entering this contest so that I don’t make any more poor decisions- so that both my true love and my gorgeous girlfriend get the luxuries they both deserve. I chased her to the Georgia Mountains, and now I am sitting at the foothills yearning to crawl to those peaks. So please- void my warranty and make my 2013 Tacoma an Off Road Baller.

This is my Entry for the Void My Warranty Contest.

As told from the perspective of Igor, the 2003 Tacoma Double Cab...

    Dear Demello and friends,

    Hello

[IMG]RearLift-4.jpg by Monte Nickles Photos, on Flickr

My name is Igor, I am a 2003 Tacoma double cab. I have been the trusty daily driver for my owner, Monte, for the last 3 years. Even with 171k and hauling his butt across the country twice a year to home and college, I have never given my master any grief what so ever and continue to run like the day I was built.

However, I have a bone to pick about Monte.

You see, Monte, is not a one Tacoma man. He owns another. A 1996 access cab named Frankenstein. He is a monster comprised a many body parts and pieces from other Tacomas. He is big and scarey.

    See.

[IMG]Family 4th Camping-73.jpg by Monte Nickles Photos, on Flickr

But more importantly, Monte takes Frankenstein on all the fun trips! Here I am, spending all year with Monte, driving him to work, driving him to school, driving him to the store to get parts for Frankenstein, driving him to the junk yard to get parts for Frankenstein, driving him to his friends to get parts for Frankenstein, in the rain, wind, sleet, hail, and snow. And yet, when the time comes to go frolic in the mountains, to see the high peaks and play in the rocks. He takes Frankenstein! Thats not fair! Especially because the big brute spends half his time on jack stands getting worked on. Why can't he take me when Frankenstein is broken? I know Monte wants to still go camping on those weekends when he is waiting for parts to arrive. But alas. My bare naked body is too tender and soft for the rough rocky trails that Monte frequents.

Does not every Tacoma deserve to have its day in the sun and mud? Am I not good enough for him?

I beg you, strip me of this mall crawler status and make me worthy of the title weekend warrior so that I too can explore the mountains with Monte. It's only fair as I have paid my dues carting him around so much.

I just want to get a little mud on the tires....

    Sincerely,

    Igor, the Tacoma

Sorry if that was a bit long. :D Thanks for putting this on and I know I don't meet the correct requirements with submitting a 1st gen tacoma. But I appreciate you listening anyways and was worth a shot anyways :p. 1st gens need love too :)

    Cheers!
