I know that the scangauge and ultragauge will do these items for me and at some point I will get one BUT I am kicking around the idea of installing a three pod cluster of gauges, a voltmeter (which is easy), a mechanical water temp and a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Here's my question, has anyone done this and are there unused access to be had on the block for the oil pressure and an unused port on the radiator?

Now I could possibly tap threads somewhere on the radiator but I don't think the same could be done to the block BUT, I was thinkin that I could install a port into the oil line that goes to the filter.

    Thoughts?

Why? Because I like the idea of having some real mechanical measurements for water and oil, call me old-fashioned:cool:

I feel you on the oil pressure gauge. if you could find something the same thread as the sender currently in you block, just pull the dummy light sender and replace with your guage sender.

why have another water temp guage though?

Maybe I'll look for the oil sender and I actually want a numerical reading on the water temp plus that's usually how the rodders set up their gauges, oil, water and volts. I need the voltmeter cause of all the friggin lighting I hung on this truck:p

I really wish Toyota would have put a tranny temp gauge and oil pressure for both tranny and engine from the factory

Don't need shit goin all China Syndrome on me:D Don't have a voltmeter display and yeah I'm sure all that info is available via the OBD port and with a scangauge too, yada yada yada, I like a challenge and something to do to the truck that no one else has, honest to goodness mechanical gauges, I figure with those three things covered, I can put different stuff on the scangauge display, IDK, like radiation detector? Dark Matter detector? and I'd like something to detect when I'm tearing a hole in the Space-Time Continuum that way when I think that I've managed to drive to Hell, I'll know I'm just in Phoenix
