Dent in 2020 tailgate

Can anyone help?
I had my trailer lift up and put a small dent low on the tailgate of my 2020 Taco.
Is there a way to fix the dent other than a Body Shop?

Fill it with bondo and choose sticker you like the most and place it on top. Make sure it is a paper sticker.

it's a tailgate, it's going to get beat up.

 

Leave it there as no one else on earth has that exact beauty mark!

 

I would try taking the plastic part off to see if I couldn’t just beat it out before I would bondo it.

 

i think the dent looks better than bondo with a bumper sticker over it

 

+1 for just letting it ride. I'd hate to fix it then have it or something similar happen again

 

buy a new tailgate!

 

I would protect it from rusting. If the paint is gone. Touch up matching paint may help? I too had a scratch on the side fender(small) . I am going to live with it.
The cost to repair is not worth it at this time.

A decision you will need to make? Want it done right? And willing to pay? Or a quick fix? And maybe get lucky or worst?

No harm in taking it to a couple of body shops for a quote?

 

Fix it, along with all the other inevitable dings, just before you sell it.

Just Google paintless debt repair, find a provider with solid reviews and go with them. Touch up the paint Yoself, easy peasy. Had a similar thing happen to me.

 

It looks like the dent chipped the paint. Therefore paintless dent repair is not appropriate. And it's not cheap anyway. I just had paintless dent repair done on a few minor dings on my fender, and the bill came to $620.

That's about what a conventional body shop would charge for the OP's dent. Maybe even a little less.
