Dent in the tailgate!

    Well I was backing out of the driveway, and I had not noticed that my brother left the stupid trash cans behind my truck and I hit it! :mad:

    Now there is a little dent in the tailgate. Can't really notice it when you look straight at it, but when you look at an angle, you can really notice it!

    I've dried the hair dryer and air duster technique...but no luck. :( Any ideas?

    I used a local guy that does dent removal, $75. looks perfect.:) look someone up in your area.

    no longer own Tacoma, now own 2011 Outback
    my grandpa did the same thing last Friday morning. Thank god I didn't hit it because I have back up camera :cool:
    I hit the garbage cans without paying attention in my old suv two years ago. I went to dent pro business and it only cost me 65 dollar. look good

    doesnt look like the paint is chipped have a paintless dent guy remove it should be under 100$ i just had a few shopping cart dings and a grapefruit size dent removed cost me 200$ and you cant tell where they were

    I'm new to this site and I was researching this as well. I have seen the hair dryer and compress air method. I also found on youtube that some dry ice works. From the video he kept on rubbing the dry ice over the dent and it eventually disappeared. I also have a dent and will try that as well. Let me know if you get to it first. :D

    haha. Join the club. The person I bought my truck from didn't lock his trailer down. Eventually the tongue jumped off the ball and ended up running into the tailgate. I've got a good size dent. But the tailgate works fine.
