Before you throw that quarter panel in the trash, as least give it a try to fix it yourself for bit over $100.

I did that on our Sequoia after my wife backed into a mailbox, no regret.

I’m done with body work. Now That I’m retired, I let the people who do that stuff, do it for me. Besides, I don’t have the patience to do it right.

I'd pocket the $2G if I were retired on fixed income.

Large dent without hard crease is whole lot easier than small dent with crease. You can pretty much pull it out with a Harbor Freight suction cup.

Your not pulling that out perfect with a suction cup. The OP has a nice truck that’s not old and he wants to fix it right . I agree with him 100 percent . New panel, and paint and you can forget it ever happened.
I’m the same way . It would bother me not fixed right . That’s how I am . The thing is if you don’t fix it right , next thing you know you get another ding or dent then another and before you know it the truck is a mess .it would be one thing if it was 10 years old …. It’s not . Plus these trucks are north of 40 K why not have it look decent for as long as you can . I get he’s retired but what does that mean lol. If you can swing it financially why not . Last time I checked we are all gonna be dead a long time.

My feeling is $2G is a small price to pay so I’m not kicking myself later every time I look at the damn dent. The truck only has 32k miles on it.

I had the same dent. I got a dent puller and hit it with a rubber hammer on the inside. Good as new :D

Pdr guys are good. If it were me I’d 100% talk to one. Keeping the original paint would matter more to me. I’ve had a few new trucks painted after deer incidents and you’ll always have issues down the road where factory paint still is going strong. Paint only if necessary. My $0.02
