I can't leave anything well enough alone
but if the temps are up, and the settings are right, the fan should be running really hard anyway???

A manual 100% on switch is only useful if the coolant is cool, hence fan not spinning at full capacity, but yet the AC is blowing hot due to heat soak?

Good point. Only from my experience at dead stop for a long period of time I need to sit on the throttle and temps come down so having a fan that can stay on without doing that would be a bonus.

The CSF much thicker than the stock. But even then the fan is still low profile enough for proper clearance

the 40% was a mistake by me from bad info at lingenfelter. the initial command is 15% and we set it low at 150 to it has movement as it heads up and to make sure the ac condenser always has air flow. this also gave us a nice stabilization temp of about 203 degrees which is right where you want it with a factory 186 degree thermostat. those running a 160 can choose to start it earlier if you want to stabilize lower.

this is why we have the starting point set below the thermostat opening. this ensure the fan is already spinning bringing in cool air no matter what. you also want to stabilize you coolant just beyond the thermostat setting to ensure you dont have thermostat flutter or constant opening and closing. this can be bad for a thermostat.

This fan really is a sweet bit o kit. Coming up on a week of daily driving. No issues. Sometimes I like to hit the bypass switch just to hear that sucker roar.

I've read through the entire original post and am very interested. Will this help the AC run cooler on 105+ degree days in Phoenix? I've not seen a problem with the truck itself overheating, but my AC struggles, especially in stop and go traffic, unless it's been running for awhile. I used to take my first gen Tacoma off-road year round out here, but not with this one.
