I would do it again and buy the depo aftermarket. No problems here.
Dust and rain have not effected my lights. If I was going to spend money a retro makes more sense.

    Good luck ! Az

Was it just me or does the horizontal adjustment do nothing on these after market lights?

My stock headlights are a wreck. Burnt, cracked (from recall) and foggy. Now one is full of moisture..

Someone recommended these eBay ones to me. Looks like you guys had a decent bit of success. I did just buy some clear 100% silicone sealant and adhesive 2-1 from gorilla glue. That might work..

Can you switch out with your old adjusters? For up ,down, left, right?
Or maybe buy new OEM ones

Reporting back that having my lights now for about a year and they've started to condensate with the high humidity we've had here in Central Texas the last couple of weeks. I sealed mine before install so a little dissapointed. I'm OCD about this kind of stuff, so I'll probably go with another brand here very soon. I might even go with a projector housing this time around (maybe).

Try adding a few SILICA GEL packs inside of them.

That's Not a bad idea; I might give this a shot to hold me over. Here is how it looks this evening. I drove home (45+ mins in traffic) with my headlights on attempting to dry them out.

Anyone else's show some sort of checking or little surface scratching / cracks? Just noticed on mine, I think it's in the clear coat. I opti-sealed them before winter last year. I know it doesn't last that long, but I'm surprised to see this.

Just over a year and the clear coat on mine is shot. No water in the light housing, but the coating is shit. Guess I need to restore my new headlights...

I have a new set of OEM Headlight housings. I am interested in knowing EXACTLY what type of clear coat people have had the best luck with. I have heard that clear coating them will keep them from going white or yellowing, and hope that it will keep them from getting that cracked look that my non-clear coated factory lights now have. Thank you in advance for your experiences and feedback.

I'm done with these headlights. I pulled them off, dried them completely out and let them stay in a conditioned space over night to ensure there was no moisture left. I then resleaed them and let them dry/cure before I re-installed them. A week later they fogged up again. Its frustrating b/c I really took my time making sure everything was good.

I'm exploring options now on replacements but I am leaning towards biting the bullet and buying OEM TRD Sport's.

i just installed a set. didn’t reseal because i live in az, so i’m hoping i’ll be fine. but i did reuse the oem connectors, thinking they might seal better?

one thing i see often is people trying to use silicone and other types of sealants on these. wrong. the correct way to reseal lights would be to bake them, pull apart, apply morimoto butyl rubber and seal back up. silicon and other products will not form a permanent, water right bond.

I bought a set of Depo headlights for my last taco, an 05. I baked them apart and installed the Mini H1 retrofit kit, partly for Uber driving in winter.

It cost me about $350 total and maybe 12 hours of work, but totally worth it. Complete success. I went to a lot of time and trouble but the results were awesome. Far better performance than stock and looked way better to boot.

Is that just the clearcoat peeling? How long did it take for that to happen?

About a year and a half. No garage. I didn't take the time to try to polish them out. Found some regular OEMs on CL and replaced the depo junk.
