Got mine installed tonight as well.20170222_231226.jpgNotice the immediate fogging in the bottom left. Not even one full night, and already having issues, on a clear night. Liking the new look though, haha.

I have to ROFL at "JDM style".

JDM, of course, means "Japanese Domestic Market". In other words, OEM parts that are only available for models that **are only actually sold in Japan**.

Tacoma is only sold in North America, so any part that is Tacoma specific definitely can NOT be replaced with an *actual* JDM part.

Which doesn't mean that NO parts can be replaced by JDM. I have a JDM right-side steering wheel button panel (6 buttons, vs only 0 or 3 in the north american variants).

Did you seal them with silicone like everyone has been saying?

Yes. But not all the way around. I felt like i missed a spot, so that must be it. I'll get a bunch of silica to fix it.

    Thanks man.

And for anyone wondering, mine haven't fogged YET. They've been great thus far. I really hit it hard with the silicone though making sure to fill EVERY SINGLE SPOT even if it looked sealed already.

Mine haven't either, we had some snow last night and they look good as ever. Did you try the new bulbs that came with them?

Mine didn't come with new bulbs so I reused my originals. I bought from a different link though. I believe they are all the same housings and simply sold through different companies.

Is it worth buying and selling my OEMs or just wait for the warmer weather and do the BHLM???

For those with fogging, pull the rubber boots on the bulbs and slip two or three silica packets into the housing behind the reflectors. That should help.

I've had the Depo lights for almost three years now. I sealed them with silicone when I first got them, and I make sure to wax and seal them properly with every detail. They have been coated with Optimum Opti-Seal twice a year since I've had them.

The first thing I noticed after installation is the light output was somewhat reduced compared to OEM, attributed most likely to the reflector design but expected of an aftermarket headlight. After about a year the UV lense coating started coming off. At a year and a half they started getting condensation on them (no condensation issues otherwise up to that point), and a reseal with silicone has since fixed the issue. Within the past year the lenses have begun to yellow. I also noticed that the bezel inside the light on the passenger side seems to be a little loose, it will rattle around slightly but not enough for me to bother with.

That being said, unless I find a pair of OEM lights (to do BHLM and retrofit on) in excellent condition locally, I'll most likely purchase these lights again. I feel for the money and a couple of mods before install make these a decent purchase. The mods I would recommend doing are to seal very thoroughly with silicone (or something more durable if it exists, silicone tends to "dry out" in my climate which is what lead to condensation in the lights over time) and then cover with Xpel or similar clear bra material prior to installation which should help mitigate the degradation of the lenses over time.

    These are the older models that had the orange reflector that appears to have since been changed over to clear;

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you! Was
If you have the patience to wait that long, you should go for the BHLM. These depo lights are a bit of a hassle to deal with.

I'm having the winter blues, I'm itching to mod...lol! I've never had an issue with doing BHLM on any of my vehicles.

Reluctantly I went through a touchless car wash today (I like to hand wash my vehicles) Bc my truck was filthy and couldn't take it any longer, but I'm happy to report I had no leaks or condensation on my new lights. Been installed now nearly 4 weeks and so far so good

Wow, I'm definitely super interested in these. I don't mind very carefully applying silicone to every potential opening to keep them from fogging up. Sounds like it's the only way to do it honestly

It is really weird that they can't seem to make headlights that seal properly.
I have a set of black Depo tails on my X-Runner. They have been on there for two years now and have given me zero problems.
