Quick update: Removed canopy and added the Homertaco Raptor grille along with 14" shorty antenna. Toyota replaced the headlights under warranty . Sliders and Pelfreybilt rear bumper next.

    Pending....

Do you have a picture of your truck head on with those SCS 17"s and 285 tires

I have a 2016 Tacoma OR TRD DC 2wd, I am adding the Ray 10's from SCS 17" with the -10 offset. and the BFG KO2 or TOYO Open country II's 285/70/17's

I just don't want them sticking way past the flares to much!

    Thanks

How is the ride and handling!

Bed cap, roof rack, bed build, SOS sliders, and ARB awning.
What is the length on the awning? It looks like it hits both racks. Another quick question how do you like the front runner rack and did you look into getting a different rack? Very clean set up really like the ride.

Good eye! The awning is a 6x6 so it def extends to the canopy rack and is mounted on both. My family is growing so I needed a bigger awning.

The front runner rack is great. I never really considered any other rack but I do know that the prinsu racks are popular among taco owners. One recommendstion is to stock up on the m8x16mm hexbolt from a local parts store (home depot and Lowe's doesn't carry them) if you plan on mounting things on the rack like I did. The slat system on the FR rack is really intuitive but requires extra bolts to do it.

Geno, after a long trip to Moab, I can say that the handling was awesome. Overall, I've always been impressed by the construction and quality of SCS wheels (my second set) and don't have any plans on switching.

The Toyos are heavy so just keep that in mind.

Nice rig! That's a beautiful truck, my favorite color. I like you're still rocking a OEM skid plate, any plan to upgrade? I put one on my Prerunner but my off roading is limited to gravel and farm roads.

Thanks, I love that the Barcelona red has subtle changes in color depending on lighting conditions. i was torn between magnetic gray and b red and am glad I ended up with the red.

Ive had the oem plate on since the very beginning and have stuck with it for years, mostly for nostalgia. The plate has held up surprisingly well over the years. I will be upgrading the front end, though. Im a fan of Pelfreybilt so that will most likely be the direction I go...

Progress has been good, I have a few things on my list.

    Armor -- Front aluminum bumper
    Recovery -- Maxtrax and winch
Suspension -- LCA and upgraded rear leaf pack

Added weight of the canopy and rtt have really taken a toll on my icon rear add a leaf. OME or Deaver are a must.
