    Not a good start for a newer company. Reputation is very important. I was also thinking about purchasing from this place, but after hearing the reviews, I’m going to stay behind the lines and watch more. And possibly go a different route.

    Is there any similar hardtop with the same type of opening floor? The iKamper looks good, but they got dropped from REI and some complaints are also regarding customer service like they won’t carry a guarantee or a replacement if it gets damaged during shipping, etc. Hopefully, that’s not true. But really, customers shouldn’t be left in the dark like that

    Check out MIA tents. It’s the same tents pretty much. Probably will go with them if I don’t get a response from Desert Armor soon.

    The vendor emailed those waiting for shipments that the items got picked up by UPS yesterday. For those of you thinking about these tents, wait a bit longer for us to report on them. Yes, the company messed up by giving a premature shipment date to us. Hopefully this became a teachable moment for them to remember for their future customers.

    The freight truck could have been delayed. It happens. Seen it before where the truck lost a steer tire. Then the replacement truck dropped a driveshaft. Delayed pick up 3 days.

    Look. You guys. This is a small family company. Literally husband and wife.
    1) ups sent a small box truck to pick up over 25 tents. The box truck couldn’t even hold 1. This was Wednesday of last week. The driver called and the tents got picked up on Friday.
    2) there has been a personal loss to their family, so their vacation got cancelled and they have to handle some family business. That’s all I’m going to say about that.
    3) the tents are here. Actually. They are on their way to you guys who ordered. This isn’t like pelfry. So you can kick rocks with that talk.
    4) as for emails and texts. I am with you guys. Sometimes not hearing from them is tough. Definitely can see where your patience is lacking there. Give it just a bit more. Corona virus really screwed up ALOT of things. I’m not using it as a scapegoat either. It literally threw a huge wrench in the plans.
    5) if you guys want to cancel. Let me know now before your unit ships. Because once it’s out, it’s yours. They’ve had some cancellations, it happens. The sooner they know, the sooner we can get the tent to a new owner.
    6) I appreciate your patience and understanding. I’m just as frustrated as you guys are. Especially being this close to the end of the road. Just hang with me a few more days.

    also. I was out camping the last 3 days. So I missed all of this. Let’s see what next few days hold before we all turn to Karen’s.

    @uploadadventure Sorry to hear of their issues, Alex was quick to return emails before, but none of the 10% discount codes I got here or directly from him work now - any updates on those? Haven’t heard anything back for awhile.

    They changed their discount plan. Not sure why. I was just told that the discount is different now. (This has happened several times)

    The codes take off $100 now on RTT’s. And on other products add a 10 to the end of the code (uploadadv10) to get 10% off anything else. (I’m working to try and get it back to the 10% off everything)

    There are no warriors in stock right now. Next shipment will be here in October supposedly. There are a few XL’s. Few Ninjas. And 5 grunts. The grunts are classic fold over tents.

    I have a hard time believing this crap. That the tracking numbers aren't updated even still. Sounds like they are feeding us bs for there mistakes...

    Dang, alot of hate and impatience going on here. I'll blame it on COVID! I don't know where you guys have been, but for months now everything I have shipped or received has taken longer and the tracking #'s are all screwy. Fed Ex and UPS have been worse than USPS. At times I have received an item before the tracking # actually starts working. These curriers seem to be struggling to maintain their normal services and all of their websites now have disclaimers saying that their operations are slower due to the coronavirus. People need to chill. My tent is on order also, but it'll get here when it gets here.

    It's just sad to see you making baseless claims about DA while venting your frustrations on the internet, seems like the typical first world problems we all have these days. My office deals with an abundance of international businesses and clients, coronavirus has affected every aspect of our operations, that's just a fact...hope your tent comes soon and you find your happy place.
