I am support staff, so I need to find money in the summer. Have been fortunate to have summer school to make some, and coach baseball in the spring to help get through summer. But we do a lot of camping in the summer.

Ahhhhh, just want to know if any one has ony connections with the Port of Los Angeles, and who is the best person to contact to grease the wheels and get shit moving there.

As frustrated as I am about the delays, I have to THANK Desert Armor for continuing to keep me in the loop, as I am sure those are crappy emails to type. But atleast I am not chasing down every delivery truck hoping my tents on it.

I'm in the same boat bud (figuratively and literally lol). I live in LA and considered driving down to the port . The situation is dire unfortunately and container ships are anchored off shore in queue for days. Even if we had a connection they would probably not be able to do anything about it. It's a complete shit show.

Can I get a roll call of order dates on folks that are still waiting?

I ordered a Tank on Feb 8th, still waiting. Apparently the tent has been on the boat in the LA harbor for many weeks according to DA.

Funny, since I live in Los Angeles, and am well aware of the ships in the harbor. I jog on the beach bike path along Seal Beach and watch them sitting there. I even have friends that work in CBP as import/export agents. The delays I hear from them do not correlate to the delays I hear from DA.

I have a Warrior XL on order since Feb. 13th. For what it's worth they set the expectations that they expect to be shipping end of march/early April so it's not that far off. With the Suez Canal disaster and the already backed up ports of LA I'm not really that surprised. I don't think they have any reason to lie about it.

I'm not blaming them, but the date has been moving. The March/April date is the newest of the dates. I think I have had a few different dates.

When I ordered it was March 22nd I believe then moved up to the 31st pretty quickly. Hopefully container lands soon. :turtleride:

    Here’s the straight dope.

Container left manufacture 1 month late due to lack on containers (wtf is up with that right?)
The shipment is currently on the ship. Fact.
I am not sure if it’s waiting at the port or getting close to the port.

Here’s what screwed us. When that ship got stuck in the Suez canal it created that week of back log. Those ships that were stuck a few of them had priority due to their loads. So they get to jump the line. Which royally sucks ass.

I’m sorry for the delays. I know you guys are frustrated as all get out. I’m even more frustrated and stressed to make sure you guys get your tents!

Thanks, been secretly building some Viking ships and should be setting sail soon, but coming from the coast of Maine may take some time.

Again, as much as those delay email suck to read, I appreciate being in the loop.

So my Viking ships may get there in time to help out.

new thought- let’s get a crew together and go pretend to film a movie, who cares what the script looks like, just as long as we are claiming a very certain number container.

Haha, that seems more like it. Nothing like a little bit of data. My sig other runs a women's design factory in the garment district downtown, her containers come from China, and she was laughing that it takes her women's underwear 3 weeks to arrive, even now! Chonies are priority. Also, Suez is a joke for most Americans.
Take a look at the shipping routes from China to US, especially if its landing in Long Beach.

    Anyone on here Coast Guard?

I think it’s more of the few ships that hit that port and use the Suez route, get to cut in line. I wouldn’t hope the boat carrying the tents went through the canal, seems that’s bad logistics.

But I’m liking the coast guard approach. You thinking we make a tip that there are some not so legal items on the container, thus bringing to the front of the line?

Nothing like a vessel safety check to stir up trouble...

Oh, so every boat except the one. See it’s good to have more than one brain on something so vital as this.
