    After seeing the last email about the Annex I went to my emails to see if I had the same but was pleasantly surprised to see the below email instead. I had checked earlier today and it still wasn’t picked up so I had given up hope for the week. Now scheduled for arrival on June 8th according to FedEx.

    Folks: An unbiased thread in the Product Reviews forum. I suggest we capture our love/hate relationship with the Desert Armor products and experience there.

    I had a similar experience with a body armor vendor, who deleted the entire thread when the customers turned sour, and all the struggles such as we had gone through over was lost for all folks. I don't want that to happen here.

    Does it matter anymore? You crossed the line, Rich. Are you going to out everyone else who bought a tent through you or asked a question on this forum that you don't agree with? Your rep is destroyed now. You have no legitimacy anymore. Hope it was worth it.

    Look you may throw around $3,000 dollars like its Monopoly money, but the rest of us work hard, and expect quality for our dough. And waiting half a year for a crappy product tends to sour the relationship.

    I haven't and didn't want to involve you personally, because you seem like a good person, although vested. My descriptions have always been my relationship with DA and the product. You've taken it personally, sorry man, that was never the intention. I've never pointedly said you were responsible.

    Thank you. I’m just sharing sales and trying to help out customers with their issues. That’s all.

    I really don’t mind if people have complaints. That’s part of any product.

    And I’m not upset when people don’t buy DA products. My whole thought was to save people money. Share some sales. And make memories. If you go with another brand that’s great. Make memories. I’ve had 3 different brands of RTT. Each had pros and cons. Just like my DA tent. I have my gripes about it just like others. Nothing and no one is perfect these days.

    Ive been honest this whole thread and don’t plan on changing that trend.

    edit- I will also tell you pros and cons of the brands I’ve owned including my current tent.

    Sometimes I post things. And think about what I said and delete it because it’s not relevant or factual to what’s going on. Plus sometimes I think it’s just not right. That’s the whole point of the delete button.

    But really it doesn’t matter because if it was a big issue the mods would handle it. They can see all the posts including the deleted ones and edited ones.

    Sorry your purchase didn’t go as planned. Hope those who get or have their tents enjoy making memories. For those who are on the fence about getting a tent, there are a lot of brands out there, DA is just 1. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding DA.     They don’t give a shit about complaints. They just say “sorry”. They filter their reviews to show only the good ones they want remember? Lies and deception. They sure prioritized getting out to California to get LT installed on their truck with our money though. Thievery. They laugh and hang up on disgruntled customers. Maturity.     Report from the trails:

    I know there's bunch of upset guys here, and even some issues with the tent I personally received - mainly with the shell and gap concerns. BUTTT.. the tent itself has been awesome this weekend. So far I have no issues with the actual tent.. and functionality when in use. The wife is having a blast. Dog loves the wind through the screens. Been a great weekend so far.

    Maybe that will give some of you guys some hope.. ill post more when we get back home.

    In all fairness, if I was the business owner and read this thread I would probably refund the few people here their money and sell that tent to someone else before going through the trouble of shipping it and paying for the shipping which is a couple of hundred dollars to avoid someone being unhappy who already has preconceived notions about the product being bad. Doesn’t necessarily mean the tent sucks up water and dirt, it’s just the right business decision for you and for DA.

    This, and maybe offering refund earlier when DA knew that the tents would be several months behind planned. I’m happy to receive my tent, but would have liked another option besides “got yo money, you’ll get it when you get it”

    yeah I agree, this whole practice of money up front really sucks. I understand a small deposit or something but 100% up front and you’ll get it when you get it is not the best business practice. With that said, I can’t blame DA alone for this. This is straight up somehow the industry norm except for select few companies who have the capital. DA is just doing what their competitors are doing. The consumer is the one on control, if you don’t want this then we have to stop giving them our money as a whole. That is not going to happen in our impulsive society unless major changes come about. It’s simple supply and demand economics. Thankfully we have credit cards with all kinds of protections in place that overwhelmingly (and sometimes unfairly) favor the consumer/card holder.
