Well this is the Desert Armor sales thread… and he doesn’t down a Desert Armor product… so.. I don’t come into other businesses threads where I stopped an order or canceled one and go in there and start complaining and stirring up past issues. That’s just me tho.



As for DA quality, there hasn’t been any other issues reported to them. That guy with the white Tacoma his box was completely destroyed, his tank was rerouted once, and it still showed up with no damage or issues with the tent.
Out of 150 shipped tents there has been 5 warranty claims. (I do have access to the back end of the website and can see the claims and what’s shipped)

 

Literally no one wants you to do that…

Anyways, here’s my Warrior earlier this week at a primitive camp spot in Anza. Life has gotten in the way a lot since getting our tent ~6 months back, but we’ve been enjoying it a lot on the Tacoma vs when I had it on my 4Runner.

Good morning. For those that have passed on DA, good luck to all of you. I mean that. Try buying suspension right now. And yeh good luck on that too.

We have been completely satisfied with our Warrior...had it almost a year and been all over our great state. Took several months to arrive but was worth the wait. Rich....get that DA gathering scheduled soon! Y'all have a great weekend.

 

Got my tent yesterday! My first impressions are that it came fairly well packaged. No damage and tent looked good on first inspection. Got it installed on the same day and did manage to shear one of the T bolts by rushing and using a power tool. Did the rest with a socket wrench by hand (highly recommended) and they were smooth. Once installed tent looks and feels awesome. Not sure how I feel about the overhang yet on the XL and DCSB Taco but I expected it so gonna ride with it for a while and see how big of an inconvenience it's going to be. Right now, other than looks, I don't see much wrong with it. I hit up DA support regarding the sheared bolt and Eric replied very quickly today and said he'll get me a few new ones out this week. I've opened and closed it a few times and everything is smooth. No raised edges and everything tucks inside the shell just fine.

All in all very happy I waited it out. My son and the neighbors' boys love it and have been in it all day in the driveway with their iPads. Going to take it out next weekend for the first time with the fam. and see how she does.

hah, already thinking about that...need a suspension first to handle some of this weight better. It never ends.

If I were to do my rear suspension over I’d just go with AAL, the Tacoma leaf pack is not a bad pack. Just needs to support more weight.
