That’s good to know. I’ve been going back and forth on that.

Yeah. That’s, IMO, the best option unless you’re doing red trails more than often than not

Not planning on doing many red trails. Maybe here and there if it's the only way to get to a spot. What would you recommend in terms of AAL? Any any suggestions on a swingout that retains the stock bumper? Is there such a thing?

Yeah there are a few options of brands that replace the OEM rear bumper without cutting. I’ll shoot you a PM.

the Icon RTX (I think it’s RTX, or maybe RXT) is a good AAL pack that gives you some options for the style of lift.

Just get the RXT leaf pack. Screw an aal, especially if doing a bumper / swing out

What is that tilt-down Rotopax mounting shelf on the side of the Taco? Cool design!

as inquisitive, how about that camo custom job on the top of the RTT?

is that pre, post, or collaboration with DA ?

Almost a year later and still loving my tent! It's holding up nicely and is by far the best thing I've purchased for my truck and well worth the wait. I still have yet to get a long bungee cord to keep the tent fabric in while closing up, but I've kind of gotten use to the straps by now.

NICE!!!! And same here. Absolutely love this tent and where it has taken me and my son. I use those straps to pull sides tight then tie a bow/knot then shut the lid down from there while tucking. Is that an Diamondback Atroz...the blue bike. I'm on a waiting list for mine.

Here is a different look for the tent...may convert this trailer or find another and do it right. And yes. That's AC...it was 92 degree at camp last Friday at 1015pm. It was hot as hell at the devils river. Not much fishing but could have touched a few big ole channel cats.

It’s nice to see some real world reviews. Have you guys gotten any dust/water intrusion around the tent with the hard cover closed?

Some dust when I'm on super dusty desert roads on the side the latches are on, but nothing too crazy. As for water, nada whatsoever. I hardly ever go camping in the rain. I also live in CA which has been going through a drought. I even zipped off the windows, makes setup time a bit faster and I only need to pack the 2 poles for the entrance.

No water at all and minimal if any dust...no sand either from beach trips. And I would have voiced my opinion on dust a long time ago if I thought it was a problem.

Latches are the weak point on my warrior. Quite flimsy. But as I told Rich, I'm dealing with them just fine and see no need for replacement at this point.

Edit: I read your story and not wanting to bring any of that up. I wished you luck on the other post and still wish you the best in your search. But I do have a question...and it may be down to your intended use. And forgive me ahead of time here Rich.... But why did you choose the tank with that aluminum shell? It seems the shell is a dent away from looking like shart...no way it's as strong as the abs shell...and I could be WAY OFF on that observation too. I'm rough on all my gear but use as intended. My plastic shell warrior has been driven through scrub brush and low hanging trees. Shell looks like new.
