I know it was already brought up previously in the thread but just curious on how similar it actually is to the skycamp. I know they look the same but craftsmanship wise and material quality and thickness. Sometimes I feel like these smaller copies might use thinner material on frame or tubes to cut the cost.

Not saying that DA tents are using thinner stuff but Im just curious.

I know for example air conditioner companies have one main manufacture that will produce condensers in bulk then just slap a different name brand sticker on them but they are the same on the inside. I wonder if this is the same with these tents.

 

So I haven’t physically put my hands on an iKamper, but I do know that this will match up to them quality wise.

This will be my 3rd RTT in a year. I’m very picky, now, (because I didn’t know) about what tents I will buy. I liked my old tent. Solid. Good tubing. No issues. But I hated the soft cover.

Anyways. The material is the same. And it’s been updated on this round of tents vs the original tent.
As far as the tubing. DA has had tents out there being used every weekend now for almost a year now and they’ve had zero frame issues. In fact. I only know of 1 issue (rain fly) with a customer and the tent design was changed after that issue, and it hasn’t been an issue since.

Also. DA has told me that unlike any other brand out there, they are willing to warranty any issue for up to 5 years. That’s huge.

And for the price point, I was sold. I’ve also been working with them and point out any issues or concerns I have had or seen over the last year and half with others who owned tents. They listen and apply the changes or ideas as needed. So that’s really good in a company too.
All in all. The price alone is worth it for me. But to have the ability to communicate with them about issues or concerns sold it for me. Also, as a side note, this is a husband and wife team, so sometimes it does take them up to 48 hours to respond to emails and such. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Warrior / Warrior XL and Accessories ship July 1. Then take 2 weeks to get to the warehouse for DA final QC and then ship to customer.

these are all hard dates so it’s getting to be that time! The date for the warriors had to be pushed back due to the COVID.

Yup! Also, couldn't decide between the annex and the awning... luckily they have a sweet deal where you can SAVE $$$ and order BOTH! Soo guess what i did? You guessed it! Ill have both the awning and annex for beach days and then the extra storage/room for camping!

 

Alright so I pulled the trigger and placed the order for the Warrior XL. I also ended up getting the awning and annex bundle plus the insulating liner. Looking forward to trying out this tent.

It’s probably going to go on my Victory 4x4 roof rack. I have a DCSB so it will overhang too much on my bed rack.

XL will definitely need a cab height rack.

does anyone know anything about the spec that says 70mph limit? does that actually mean you can't go the speed limit in some places? I have an older style rat and don't remember seeing anything about speed limit. Id be interested in this one but that would make me hesitate as i will keep it mounted to the truck all the time.
