That assumes that the Mapquest picture is the same area. The picture I posted above was taken by the same guy who took the close-up fence picture. My understanding from searching around is that the Indians in that area are building a casino.

The fact that this comes off the Coast2Coast website is enough for me to think it's BS.

X2. Its on the reservation, and Im not wanting to go there, as if they pull me over, and find a weapon in my truck (despite me haveing CCW permit), I will be taken to jail. I have talked to a few friends, and they said there is a new Building/casino being built down there, but, as the new street is not yet named (#7?), they cant verify the location. One of my buddies is going down there next week to get soem GPS numbers for me.

That's it, my curiosity is totally peaked. I'm off Sunday Monday and Tuesday. I'm gunna have to drive down there. According to Mapquest it is about an hour drive from my house. As far as the two pictures posted above are concerned they look like the same area to me. The ground level pic looks like it was taken facing south when compared to the mapquest pic. The little hills in the background look like the area near Sacaton. I have done a lot of flying in that area in the past and have used those hills as landmarks. If I had the money right now I'd rent a plane and do some arial scouting. But I guess I'll just have to drive down there and check it out.

Let's have a Mod day down there.

If it's on the res, I'm sure whomever paid dearly for it.

That's funny, The Tribal council would not allow artificial snowmaking at Snowbowl because of Tribal spirits & impurities on the land, but they will build a Casino in a heartbeat.

Upon further inspection of the ground level panoramic photo it looks like the hill farthest to the right has a large letter "C" on it. I do not see any letters on the mountains near the complex that those lat/long coords. pointed to. So now we have to find a hill with a letter "C" to figure out the first complex, and now it looks like there are two mysteries on or hands.

My first thought that it might be a solar panel facility. I know there was plans for loads of them in the works.

You call them theories, I call them opinions. And when someone disagrees with yours, you take your toys and go home. And if they disagree with yours enough, you pack your shit and move.. The beauty of these forums are that they are "public".. If you disagree with an opinion, fine. If you have "proof" that they are false then post it up.. It seems to me there is more history on these so called theories dating back into the 60's (as Executive Orders) than there is anything negating their truthfulness. As for you being stationed at Davis Monthan and not being "in the know" does not surprise me.. Very few people know that underneath the runway at Jax Naval Air Station is where they housed and kept the troops invading Nicaragua. But, its there. A facility large enough to hide over 250 pieces of equiptment (ie: Trucks, Jeeps and Tanks) plus feed and house up to 2500 troops. Opinions, Rich.. Everyone has one, and they do not always see things your way..
