Desert protection package

    When I purchased my vehicle in Arizona there was something in the glovebox that says that it has a "desert protection package" anyone from out there know if this is bogus or what? I don't really care as I didn't pay for it,but I did discover what looks like a paint run under the rear bumper and I can't make out if its some sort of additional clear coating they would put on for out there or not. I cannot see Toyota having something like that on a factory paintjob
