I love DSM. Gold is kind of a rare color and it's less "look at me, pull me over" compared to SWB and RR.

i put the 1/4 spacer on it, and yes i got rid of the roof rack,

center caps are 1/4 plexi glass and i used the fake allen bolts from the center caps to make the look i was going for

I waited on my "desert sand" Tacoma for a solid three months after ordering it. They tried several times to get me to take a DS Tundra right then and there just the way I wanted it. Nope, too big, I want the Tacoma. Then he tried to talk me out of 4x4. Wife jumped in and said to stop that as he needs it where he goes. Salesman said he has never seen such a patient buyer in his life, I only called him once in that three months. It came exactly as ordered, had it three years now, 69K on it, 4 leaf TB done. When it has to go to the dealer for something I have threatened to sue their butts if they flash my ECU with that brake over ride crap. What I bought was a vehicle that would do both at one time at any speed and it had better still do that when i leave here. Here it is with the bed full of ATV. :)

Don't mean to bump an old thread but I don't think there is an official DSM color thread. I just wanted to update with some new pics since spending 5 hours today washing, clay barring, waxing, remove/clean wheels, etc.

I still have to color-match the surround of a base-model grille I bought recently and plasti-dip the rear bumper, badges, and maybe the front valance.

I can't clean under the wheel wells because the rust coating I had done at my local Walmart last December COATED the wells, including the plastics. I was able to use some bug/tar remover I had in a spray can to clean off the colored plastic on the edge of the well. But as for blacking the underneath, I had to forget it.

I suspect they also oversprayed as I found white specs everywhere, on the side of the truck, on the black area where the wipers rest, my side mirrors, parts of my wheels, etc I thought it may have been spray from road line painting but I really doubt it now. The clay bar got pretty much all of it off the paint which was good.

I actually like the DSM, and yes, I'm 40. I can't spit around here without seeing a MGM or silver taco--too common. At least the DSM is a rare color--maybe for a reason to some--but nice to see from time to time.
