Just browsing around in here, bored of my silver tacoma. nice work guys. are all of you 4x4? I'm currently looking at a 4x4 in this color that's for sale. my silver taco, as much as i love it, is 2x4

Its 2 1/2" lift. Rancho RS 669001R9 and i replaced the 3 leaf springs with 4 leaf springs.

 

I love the DSM color and did some investigating about the use of this type of color on Tacomas. According to the site gtcarlot.com:

2005 to 2008 - Desert Sand Mica


2001 to 2004 - Mystic Gold Metallic


1995 to 2000 - Sierra Beige Metallic


After 2008, the closest color to DMS is Pyrite Brown Mica


(only called that in 2009), which was then called Pyrite Mica from 2010 to 2015.


But the Pyrite Mica is darker than DSM or the two previous colors. Once you hit third gens, the closest color is Quicksand.


But still not DSM!

I was linked this thread from my new members post. Glad to find other who rock the desert sand. Here is mine bone stock, but will keep my eye out for mods to put on the to do list.
