This is a thread I’m hoping can be dedicated to desert trucks or “prerunners”. What’s a prerunner? For the purpose of this thread it’s any truck that you build or are building primarily to go play in the desert. Long travel, mid travel, stock, 2x4, 4x4 as long as you like to drive fast in the desert this thread is for you! Let’s try to keep this primarily a photo thread.

Let’s get this started. Here’s some photos of my first prerunner build it was my first truck almost 15 years ago. I got it completely stock and did 100% of the work. It was a 2000 Silverado with a 4.8 v8. It had a blitzkreig mid travel front end with Deaver f87’s on the rear with gmr front and rear leaf hangers and shackles. Glassworks front fenders and the bed sides were cut and pulled by me. I built front and rear tube bumper as well as a front skid plate. On the rear I built a bed cage and ran fox 2.5x16 Resi shocks. I sold it about 5 years ago for a wedding photographer haha. The taco is my new truck, I really love the way it looks right now so I’m planning on more of a sleeper prerunner.
