Made it to Green Valley Lake for a coffee and to air up! On the road back to SD now.

This trip took a couple days to figure out the programs required to make everything compatible and actually plan the route. I’ve enjoyed every part of it though.

Overall, the truck did great! We covered just under 100 miles on dirt and have very few issues. Have a few things I want/need to address but that’s apart of the game.

Lost my locker this AM. the compressor started running constantly and air was coming out of the rear diff breather. Checked the fluid just as a precaution and everything checks out. I’m leaning towards a bad seal on the ARB unit itself. @dtaco06 is this similar to what Antonio had an issue with on his?

So I have been playing with the idea of getting a nicer camera for our trips but didn't know if it was something I was willing to invest in. I have a family member who was willing to let me borrow their camera and see how I liked it. He gave me a quick crash course on the settings, but I'm not too terribly mad about how they came out. Let me know what you think!

Not in any particular order as of yet. The TW interface would't let me organize the inserts like I have previously. Sill figuring that out. 3GbMsEqsQ82Qm8wFxuOA5A_thumb_3945.jpg

Pics look good to me. Lots of the shots you see that really pop take some post processing work and others just take a good eye for photography. The hot camera these days seems to be the sony alpha stuff. I never remember to bring my SLR because they don't like dirt, are big and bulky, and I'm not super good at using it quickly and easily.

A nice camera is def worth the investment. I got marissa the cannon t5 off Craigslist for like 300 and it had a upgraded lense on it too.

I definitely get the feeling good photography can take a lot of prep work or a good eye for the correct angle. Something that comes with time I guess.

I definitely wouldn’t want to spend a ton to start out with, especially with the primary purpose being our trips so I might start to keep my eye out for a decent setup. This was a Nikon D2Xs? Not too familiar with it and it’s rather large but has a nice little case that we were able to fit nicely.

No, it was actually very easy to setup and tear down. Not what I had in mind at all but super stoked about it. Was extremely nice having more flat surface area than the tailgate and cooler

Looks like a good trip man... always fun exploring those little cabins in the middle of nowhere.

Def recommend picking up a camera... a great way to look back and reminisce on old trips.
No need to drop thousands right out of the gate. Couple hundred bucks for something used and you can always upgrade if you get super into it.

Yeah, With the advancement in technology the basic offerings from camera mfg's are very good. The thing you don't want to skimp on is glass, but you also don't need to spend thousands on glass to get good lenses.

The sonys are good, but i personally hate the interface on them. They don't seem too intuitive.
I really like my canons and my fuji has a nice throwback interface mixed with modern tech.

What camera did you guys wind up borrowing?

Glass is definitely key to any good camera. You can look at it as putting cheap low quality suspension on our trucks.

I made the switch from Canon to Sony last year (had the A6000 and A7) and made a full commitment to Sony when the A7Riii came out. Before the switch I had the Canon 6D and a couple L glass.

The user interface is definitely a lot nicer on the Canon bodies, but I have really like the adjustability and programming on the newer Sony's it just takes a little bit of time to get everything how you want it.

Shoot me a message anytime if you'd like to talk camera's

Good to know. Its hard trying to help someone when your familiar with a different platform though. Its more exploratory.
I'll take the L Glass off your hands lol

We should do a Camera meetup/run. We have alot of Photogs and interested parties in the community.

Probably grab some universal ones from ORW and weld/gusset them up.

Yeah, I’m hoping so. I’ve not been happy with my current bump/rebound setup and really excited to give these a shot.

I’m thinking of going with a 1” shorter bottom eyelet too in order to gain a little bump travel.

Not on my truck, but @erice managed to get his hands on one of the prototype kits for the @ARCHIVE shock relocation and we threw that together Monday.

Definately a solid kit and I'm very excited to see how the shakedown run goes!
