I'm officially updating the "to do list" on the truck. Got a lot done while the rear diff was sent out to ECGS for 2-3 weeks.

    -battery relocated
    -rear diff fixed
    -rear shocks rebuilt/revalved
    -boxed the frame
-got (1) hood pin in
-finish welding the shock hoop gussets while the bed was off

To be fair, I was due for ball joints and my LCA is cracking. Now’s the time.

    Oh come onnnn..faster is smoother!

I hear you though, total can of worms going LT. Those look solid. I just replaced my lowers with stock replacement moog ones.. yikes, not only were they made of tin foil they are textured with slag haha..
Hopefully they will last me a bit.

Don't get me wrong. There's a side of me that wants to. Like you said, it's a whole can of worms. Not only for the 5k in parts needed for the front but the additional work for the rear to function as well and safety features (cage).

The OE LCAs are garbage but for the cost of after market LCAs it almost makes sense to go LT. Personally, if I have that amount of money to blow on my truck, I'm getting a Maverick and towing it behind my Taco on a trailer to the desert. :bikewhoops:

Sounds good. What are you willing to get into? Was looking into Big Bear since it's close and you can do a lot in 3-4 days. Maybe go explorer Mammoth area. I've never been up there.

    yeppp its a trap...

Those mavericks are bad ass! Other than them costing $25k, but hey you can make monthly payments!111!! Went on a ride up Olds in Glamis in one last year... I was shocked on how hard it pulled all the way up the hill. Thing was scary fast. Meanwhile Starting from Yuma I can't even make it up the hill in the prerunner with paddles at 45mph at the bottom in my pile haha

Right! They are stupid and I'm surprised they are able/willing to sell them without regulation. They are not cheap, but they are turn key whoop eaters that have a warranty, can make payments on, and you can insure! Plus my Taco would tow one. Why would I spend the money into a truck that wont preform nearly as well and I'd have to buy an even bigger truck to tow.

Yea man, probably why so many people run outta talent and get mangled in them.

If you go up to mammoth area. I'd recommend Laurel Lakes, you can take dirt up from Bishop and skip the highway.

TW trip last year. Trail is mellow few guys did it in 2wd, views are unreal

    Bunch of photos.

That’s exactly what it is. It opened a new market for your average Joe to buy a machine that is far more capable than the user with little instruction.

Sounds great! Thanks for the info. If we go that far out, I won’t be looking for anything too technical. Would just be nice to get out and explorer a new area.
