Well, I definitely do enjoy spending time in the garage but not to this extent. Lol Pretty over this project if I’m honest. Lol

I can get you some but they don’t. The spacers are included in the kit and mine aren’t welded. These are the spindle adaptors I used before. Just factory with the steering stop cut off.

Project burnout happens to us all. My rigs down with a rear shock tower that broke loose and also took a chunk of frame out when it did. I let it sit for 3 weeks before I went to bring it in the garage. It wouldn't start and my battery was deader then dead. Funny thing is I wasn't pissed I had to get a new AGM battery. I was relieved because that meant I could put the frame repair off even longer. lol

yeah, I can relate. I never intended this to become the project it has but I’m stoked that it’s coming together. Just taken more time than expected with different obstacles and other life shit that takes priority.

Well, the funny thing about that is, I'm actually one of the few people that has been able to directly compare a stock truck and a modded out one....and they both felt like shit as far as my standards go.

Same, stock sport feels better then heavy modded truck but still doesn’t feel as good as a Prius

The reality is I know what I want out of the truck and it’s limitations. My biggest complaint is small, choppy, nuance terrain and that so happens to be the majority of what I find on the trails.

The rear won’t keep up with the front but I have more shock to play with so why not pursue the ride quality?

Its an experiment and probably won’t work but I’ll report back with updates.

Wait, are you saying the "TUNE IT FOR THE WHOOPS" philosophy might not make sense except for those who race or just prerun OHV areas with their trucks? That's sacrilege, homie. :D:stirthepot:

In other news I put 500s in my truck but haven't gotten it offroad yet. The few miles of pavement I've got under it, it does seem to be a bit softer than the 600s were.

Are you going to run the regular sliders or pony up for the AGM ones?

    Something like that... :anonymous:

Yeah, Kyle had mentioned running 500s or 550s. Effectively trying to achieve the same ride quality but his rear will keep up with his front. Lol are you still steel bumper up front?

I’ll run the regular ones for the time being and see how it works out. If I keep the setup I’ll look into the AGM.

Yeah still have the steel bumper and skids. Didnt really lose any ride height due to the 2" inches of preload just to get the springs on the shock.

Are you referring to these?: https://www.emfrodends.com/products/emf-rebuildable-2-125-x-toyota-taper-uniball

I've used them on my TC uppers as a replacement.

Yeah I've got a set too for when my UCA ones go bad. JDfab uses another emf joint in their LCAs too but I never did find out which joint it is, could be the Tacoma one or the raptor one. Figured whichever it was couldn't be used with a TC kit since the LCA wouldn't be designed for it and might throw some measurements off.

Been awhile. Life got busy so I haven’t been on the forums for months.

Finally took some time to start modifying the Pelfrey bumper and finish making a skid plate after doing the JD Fab relocation. Basically coping what Harry and the guys at JD have been doing for extra ground clearance.

Hoping to have this wrapped up by tomorrow and I’ll grab a piece of aluminum early next week to make the skid.
