Hey everyone new to tw and have only had a truck (my tacoma) for about 2 years now so also new to trucks and wheelin. i feel like i read so many other threads and just wasnt finding exactly what i was looking for so here i am...

im looking for something with offroad application so i want it tucked up around the spare tire or something like that. a nice sound is appreciated i dont mind loud in the cab or loud in general but want to avoid ricey. which brings me to the topic of a catback or non because i dont need to worry about emissions testing.
open to any input. why you like certain set ups or why you dont like certain set ups or just list your favorite set up including custom kits ideas ect..but PLEASE BE constructive with the response i want to learn not just turn this into a battle thread.
alright guys hopefully this takes off
    thanks alot

Depends what your definition of ricey is. I've noticed that this truck's motor has a pretty raspy sound regardless of what kind of muffler you use. With headers, no cats and a custom cat back pre-axle dump mine sounds pretty good, but I like it because it sounds like an import tuner car. In short, if you're looking for bassy v8 sound, you'll have to cam it. But someone else could have found the holy grail of mufflers, who knows

The same shit everyone else has.
TRD exhaust. Just a hair louder than stock. Sounds the best in my opinion. Chop the tailpipe, it’ll give more clearance
