Get a can of Toyota touch up clear coat, brush it on, wait 24 hrs and polish it out---at least thats what i'd try, you can always wet sand the clear down so its smooth if it really bothers you. Then apply a good sealant/wax

Any slight wind noise that came from that would drive my ocd insane and I would be taking it to the nearest carmax to sell it! (I'm like the guy who saves my gfs virginity for the next guy)

I got an uptop overland rack. I barely can clean the roof these days. Glad I can't see up there.

Funny you mention that, I wheel more than a lot of people including getting pinstripes and I've actually sold some of my rigs due to that! I even have my current trail rig repainted because of my ocd

I've actually repainted my door after I did imogone pass and my tailgate after yellowstone because they got scratched up

I wasnt trying to be a smart ass (my wife says I dont have to try) but a vehicle is a consumable to me, it's made to be used up. It's not an investment or a status thing, it's something I use to do what I want. The whole concept of worrying about it is foreign to me. I had a compadre who bought a Les Baer 1911, he wouldnt shoot it because it would decrease the value. To me, that's nuts, it's like me saying I have a 3# porterhouse steak in the freezer but I'm not going to eat it because it would decrease the value. A steak is meant to be eaten, a Les Baer is made to be shot and a Tacoma is meant to be driven.

Good luck with it, all I can say is I would hate to be OCD and own a Tacoma, they are great trucks, but there is a shit pot load of faults in them.

I got a 2019 Midnight Black pro. First ever new car. It was beautiful. I didn't want black, but I got a deal. I polished it, got rid of all the swirls, then ceramic coated it myself. It was flawless. Then like a month later I was off roading at night and hit a bush, and now a few pin stripes as well. I'm not as bad as i was, but nothing wrong with wanting to take care of your stuff. I bought color match paint for the bigger scratches. I added an off road bumper and just repainted the front plastic bumper using color matched spray paint from a local shop and 2k clear. I do an ultimate compound maybe every two years. Always looks great, I just don't want to burn through the clear. SO for now I just live with the swirls and hit it with a good wax for black cars and hope the next thing I hit is soft. Why is everything in the desert so damn sharp? haha.

If you do that be very very careful. The clear coat and paint are very thin on these and if you wet sand be very careful as it doesn't take much to go through it. Don't ask me how I know.

If you remove the clear, the 2k clear coat is pretty awesome. Has an activator and is super resistant. You could use it to blend larger “mistakes”

So I think I know what caused it. Idiot me used turtle wax ceramic hybrid wax and i probably didn't get jt all when I was wiping it down after I applied and I think that caused the streak burn mark. Any idea for that fix?

Its a small spot and caused the paint to be slightly lighter than the rest (gray). Don't think spraying clear over it would change the color back, but could be wrong.

Not sure either. Would definitely add luster. My bumper almost looked flat, but after clear looks like factory. But if it doesn’t bother you don’t worry about it

Not sure the TW Hybrid Ceramic would do that, but if it did I would take Meguiars Ultimate Compund and try buffing it out. It won't burn through unless you over work it and that takes quite a bit. You can do it by hand for a small spot like that.

I think it might have been when the stealership ran it thru their car wash when I first bought it. I'll try the Mcguires if it doesn't work I'll just let it be. Thanks again!

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
If your camera can't pick it up at one foot, it can't be too bad, crack a beer, sit down and consume it, if you are still worried open another beer, repeat until worry subsides.

Your not going to burn the paint with turtle wax. Go polish it with some mild polish or simply spray some detail spray and wipe it off or a little wax. You cannot burn the paint unless your buffing it with a high speed buffer. You are putting too much into this, go wax it off. I have professionally detailed cars for 38 years part time and I like to think I know a thing or two. Where is the better pics?
