Hey Andres, I'm sure you don't remember me but back in 2011 or 2012 I bought a set of devil-horns from you for a 2011 Tundra, put them on the grill, and enjoyed having them very much. But in the past couple of years I decided that I didn't need that big a truck anymore, it had served me very well in 2012 and '13, but my life circumstance had changed and a Tacoma seemed more consistent with my current life-style.

So last Tuesday I traded in the Tundra on a Tacoma. Here's the side-by-side comparison:

    IMG_1767 3.jpg

One of the things that made me mildly sad to do this was that I'd no longer have the devil-horns on my new truck. But I wanted to keep them, perhaps hang them on the wall in my garage as a memento of the Tundra, something like that, so I was able to locate the OEM Toyota logo for the Tundra poked away in a cubby-hole in my home, and removed the devil-horns and re-installed the OEM prior to making the trade.

Yesterday I was kind of eye-balling the grill of the Tacoma and thought "that logo is pretty close to the same size as the Tundra one was." It had never occurred to me to actually check or measure. So I went into the house and got the devil-horns and took them out to compare. WTF? Same size? This cannot be!

    IMG_1774 2.jpg

Above is the OEM Tacoma Toyota logo. Below is the Tacoma with the Tundra devil-horns, and I should note than on the back of the horns it is specifically engraved "Toyota Tundra 2007 -"

    IMG_1776.jpg

Thanks, Andres, for making a timeless product! I was fully prepared to send a little additional business your way, but guess I won't have to.....this time!

Yeah buddy I was just as surprised when I noticed they're the same size. Sorry I haven't had time to reply, I'm curently out of the country at times cut out of Internet and civilization and having a great time. If you need that emblem re-anodized let me know.

No problem, I realize you have a life other than hanging out on the Internet! I do think my horns have faded a bit, but they still look okay. My truck lives outdoors, isn't garaged. Maybe one of these years I'll send it to you. Is there any coating that could be applied that would prevent that?

    Safe travels!

Hey bud unfortunately I don't have any mid brackets svailable for the Toyota Prius.
You could purchase an emblem an see if you can manage to make it fit, if it doesn't work out send it back for a full refund.

Damn. I totally forgot I even ordered this. Now I already swapped my grill for the pro grill. I'll have to do some customizing to make it fit. Somewhere.

Does anyone have a current pic of the Devil Horns on Fire? I went to his site but it looks like it might be some sort of deep red at the bottom and I am more interested in something lighter. Or just all Inferno? Hey @ChadsPride show me a close up pic of your, please.

Edit: I saw this post: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/devil-horns-emblems.15462/page-12#post-13830785

The colors here look different to me. I like this one a lot.

Edit # 2 - Here is a pic of the one I am talking about:

    Thanks,
    Rob

Thanks Chad! No fading like @HeavyLifter ? Sun in Texas has to be harsher than here in Maryland.

I'm actually leaning towards the T Trucks logo a little too. I have my eye on a mesh grill replacement insert in black and either would go great with it.

I read on the site because of the finish being anodized there is a chance of fading. How long before it got bad @HeavyLifter ? Seems like for the money this wouldn't be an issue.

Hmmmm, apparently trucks are like dogs in that they take on the personalities of their owners sometimes. LOL

This is the grill insert I would be attaching the new grille emblem to:

    https://www.customcargrills.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Toyota_Taco_2016

I like how you can customize it to your liking. The insert alone in black is not expensive at all. You cam select slots or holes. I think either would do a much better job of protecting the radiator behind the OEM cheese grater grille from our bird sized bugs up where I live. That first and then looks would be the sole reason to switch.

    Haha!!! That is so true!

Man, I LOVE the way a mesh inserts look with these horns

Eventually, I will have a @HomerTaco full depth satoshi with my horns on em

THAT, is my ultimate setup and will be achieved come hell or high water!

There may be slight variations in color, this color scheme is not easy to do one has to control the proper temperature, concentration of solution in the anodize, amount of time to dip the emblem, etc.
Fading can happen in harsh direct sunlight and/or salty weather.
I used to offer clear powder coat over anodize but the results were very inconsistent that I stop doing so but it does help eliminate fading.
