I’m not the grammar or spelling police. Just wasn’t sure why you added the asterisks around ‘their’ in your post. It’s all in good fun

i hate spelling nazis even more. Auto-correct is constantly screwing things up, so let’s all just look past it.

Your probably close to my age. Remember standardized tests? Yeah, those. I scored in the 95 or above percentile in everything but spelling. In spelling I barely made the 60th percentile. Like I said, I spell phonetically. It's my cross to bear. lol

    Past does not equal passed...

and I'd still like a legitimate answer to the question asked.

Can you be more specific about the tools you’ve used and found heavy? Are you comparing, say, a metal geared hammer drill to a ryobi drill driver?

My pants only fall down when I’ve hooked an oscillating tool and an impact and a hammer drill to the belt. And if those had 2ah batteries, I’m sure I could fit something else on.

(That said, there are some hefty ones: the 1/2” wrench mentioned a few pages back, the flexvolt wormdrive is a bit heavy compared to a magnesium skil, and the 1-1/8 rotary hammer is heavy because it should be.)

Yeah, I already mentioned the obvious weight difference in the box cutter.

But I've also noticed it in other tools. Drivers, cut-off saws, circular saws... And it's not the batteries, it's the tools. I've also taken some apart and the excess weight is not in the mechanical parts as much as in the casings.

I mean... why in the hell would a manufacturer make their tools heavier for no functional purpose?

Kinda hard to tell from that screenshot but at least some of those look brushed. Idk about you but I’m all about that brushless life.

It wasn’t store specific. Earlier today when you click the link it would say $100. It looks like they caught it and fixed it now.

A lot of times with Home Depot some of the sales are store specific. It’s worth a shot on something like this.

I’ve ordered stuff from stores on the east coast that had a deal we’re none of the local/west coast stores had the same deal.

Maybe, I just mean earlier when I clicked the link, it displayed $100 and out of stock, now it’s up to full price. That’s why I think it was a glitch.

All good. Just explaining my experience with Home Depot and like I said, worth a shot with the ops zip code. I already have all the tools but having another set for when something breaks or leave in the truck is always nice.

I was going to buy it as well even though I didn't need half of them. For that price, may as well.
