    I'm up by Denton, and depending on the date would love like to come. I'd like to get a group together and wheel for the day somewhere around DFW also. Does anyone go to Bridgeport?

    Welcome to the BS thread! Yes we are regulars at Bridgeport, Hidden Falls, and Barnwell. We just had 2 events at Bridgeport last month.

    TTR will be having a trail cleanup the last weekend of July at Barnwell.

    I’ll post the full event once we have everything finalized with the park.

    yeah we have monthly meets, sometimes at an OHV. There are a hand full of people in the DFW area that wheel on the regular.

    @Zac of all trades there's a new Flying Saucer that opened up at Cypress Waters (near 635 & Belt Line) that could be suggested for the meet. It's a little more central to DFW and should have a better parking situation than their other locations.

    Tried to meet up with some friends at the lake for some BBQ action.... lake was 10.5 feet high and the park was shut down. We tried to set up anyway but the ranger came and shut us down....
    @Silverspool

    FYI... dont go to murrell park on Grapevine lake.

    Also @Suprajim54 tried calling me out on this canopy setup time... it was close. I had a bit of an assist but he let it slide.

    Only the marina and restaurant are open. None of the trails or day use areas are available to use because of the high water. He basically said we can either hang out in the restaurant, launch a boat or leave.

    He was right around 5 mins, but +30secs because he needed some assistance due to the wind. After he set it up, Frank noticed a covered picnic table about 100ft away that we could have used for shade...or any of those trees in the background

    Shit part was, we were there long enough to grill out and eat and bs but due to multiple oversights, we never got a heat source hot enough to cook anything. Smdh.

    I swear my hands smelled like burnt napkins and magazines for about 6 hours afterwards.

    Bring the Jeep on 40's next time.

    So what you are saying... is that while he is valid in that he can set it up in around 5 minutes... it can sometimes be more beneficial to check surroundings first to see if there are covered areas or natural shade already there?

    Interesting.

    I have noted this in my book of notes.
