I got you, if only a smaller lift with 32s I probably wouldn't regear. Best way I learned and I still learn things. I used to read through a repair manual as a kid just out of curiosity but YouTube and look for books at half price books. Or just ask. We can help you out a good amount and show you some things. Other thing I used to do was do to a pick and pull junkyard to tinker with shit and you didn't have to worry about breaking what you remove.

 

And walk to work, yay!

 

I installed 1" blocks in the rear yesterday, finishing after dark. Turns out I drove around all day today with one block not in place properly. Pin on leaf pack is not seated inside the block. It looks fine from one side, which is why I missed it, but the gap is clearly visible from other side. Might have to fix it in the middle of the night tonight, coz need to drive in the morning.

 

Trying to fix it. Not sure what I did but leaf pack is not centered on axle on passenger side, which is why pins aren't lining up. No idea how to fix.

 

Take the weight off the the axle. Raise the truck.. put tall jack stands on the frame, loosen the side thats messed up.. lower the axle, man handle the axle back and forth until it lines up with the leaf pack, raise the axle back up then tighten u bolts. Use ratchet straps if necessary.

If you still cant get it, ill come help but its gonna cost.

 

Can I ratchet to the hitch to pull it to rear?

I'm just glad I was able to raise it high enough. That's a lot of lift to get rear tires off the ground with axle hanging unsupported.

Some people put pulley lift system on garage ceiling to raise up camper shells, bed bars, rtt's etc to remove and to store.

 

I've seen a few of them. Must be nice to have a garage! I've rope-n-tarped it most of my life

 

Get to pick up the BAMF skids tomorrow sometime....

Awwwwwwwwwww yis.... guess this means I need to get an exhaust reroute done... acquire some spray paint....

I DD with my rtt/rack/maxtrax/hi lift all on the truck. If I had a place to put a pulley system to take it on and off solo I would just to get full use of my rear view mirror back.

That's expensive they can be had for less. But my truck is done I just did the head gasket.
