I've stopped paying for powder coating on armor, it looks stupid when you touch it up as the texture is always different.

Got the first half of my lift today!! I would like to thank Downsouth Motorsports for the great customer service and the amazing packaging of the product as nothing was even remotely scratched. I hope the All Pro stuff arrives on time tomorrow in as great condition as well. Can't wait to get the lift install and start exploring.image.jpg

That color doesn't look like it works well with the silver mica, you should just trade them to me so the fashion police don't pull you over

Anybody done the exhaust reroute on the 3rd gen? Where would I go to have this done? I see talk of it on the forums but no specifics about what the new route the pipe takes. I would prefer to take it someplace that has done it before.

You just have to feel out a muffler shop. If they sound unsure try another. There are several examples of what to do and not to do on 2nd gens, and the concept will be similar.

URD has a reroute for the 3rd gens that bolts on in place of the current y pipe. It should be cheaper to have a muffler shop do a custom reroute though.

What's the attraction for a reroute? What do you gain?

1-2 inches of clearance. the exhaust wraps under the tcase, the reroute moves it around the tcase

With out the reroute there is a drop in height going to the last skid, which leaves a 1/2" or so edge to catch what ever your skids hit below. When the reroute is done it leaves a smooth skid surface to slide on with out the change in skid clearance.

Hmm, okay. So it's useful, but not amazing unless doing armor.

I bought a skid that had the bump out for the exhaust and it still rubbed from vibration so I did the reroute. Should have done it the first time so I'd have a flat t case skid

The clearance savings are way better with armor, the bump to allow the exhaust to stay are often a bit excessive.

Yeah I'm probably not going to take my truck through mud intentionally for a long time after I put these on. Mud seems to always tear something up. Can't afford to be buying a new set of these

on a 2nd gen it's about dead at 1 inch, if you are adding a skid plate add another 1/4"
