They wanted to put parts from AutoZone/O'Reilly on it, but i told him he needs to demand genuine Toyota parts as thats what fell off the truck. He freaked out when I told him he could've died. He had no idea what the loud noise was, just knew he had little to no brake pressure afterward. I thought i was going to find a loose brake hose, not a missing caliper!

He tried to save some money on 20" bro rims and tires so he went to Texas Tire. It was $1200 for 4 rims and Radar(?) Brand MT's.

That’s asinine, but I’ve heard similar from other people.

I brought my wheels, and had my tires already shipped to (and ordered through) them, so didn’t really ha e a problem.

The manager asked if I was sure they’d clear, I told him no, and he said they weren’t responsible if they did. I told him no problem, and we did business. Too easy.

I'd be taking it to the dealer/discount and sending Texas Tire the bill. Those idiots would be done touching my truck.

That is how my Discount is... but the manager knows me... asked if the Generals were even going to fit and I told him nope but I have a big hammer and plan on cutting stuff... he said ok and he couldn't wait to see them on the truck.

Thats what I told him to do, but he figured he might have some issues getting them to pay him back. Might turn into a legal issue and he didn't want to deal with that. I also offered to get all thereplacement Toyota parts and we could fix it, but he wanted them to own up to it. Texas Tire sent a tow truck around midnight on Saturday. I'm not sure I would trust them to fix it right. I told him to call me when he picks it up and i can meet him there and look it over.

I wouldn't trust them at all. He could take it to a dealer afterwards for an inspection, I'd probably tell Texas Tire he would be doing that at the very least.

The Texas Tires in Tyler is just bro trucks 100%... I have heard some stories from people that have gone there and they have destroyed wheels trying to mount them... the people there just don't care.
