I took mine to "city garage" for an alignment and now i am hearing a bit of noise from my driver side from wheel well. I have been trying to record the sound on my phone but of course every time i pull my phone out the sound is not made.... Not sure what the cause is. I am going to call city garage back and see if they can help me out.

Take it back to them, maybe they'll make it right. Or break it more

Hello all, I am hoping to buy in either Feb or March a 2017 4x4. Any recommendations on dealers/sales guys in DFW or Greenville that won't rake me thru the coals? The main reason I'm getting a Taco is because my Jetta TDI is going back to VW and I've discovered I hate being low to the ground...... oh and the reason I got the Jetta was to replace the Saturn I had so as you might tell. I have not had the greatest of luck in choices and I am not real fond of car dealers but I think I'm on the right track now. I want someone who will actually work with me on learning what capabilities it has and not worry when I drive off without buying the first time - I will come back and I will buy from someone who will treat me right but if I show up and know more about the truck than they do and catch them with several things I know aren't true well.... I live out east of Greenville but commute into North Dallas way more than I'd like to.

    Thanks ahead of time!

I get my fluid changes for free up to 100k at Toyota of Denton because I bought my truck there. I have not had any issues with their service department. They also had to do some warranty work (bad cam gear) and I had no complaints about the work. They gave me a 2016 Tacoma as a loaner, too. After driving it for a week, I was glad to get my 2nd gen back. This was a pre-TSB truck so the constant shifting of the auto trans was almost unbearable.

Use the internet to find the exact truck you want and make someone work for your business. It is too easy to find exactly what you are searching for to be forced to work with a bad dealer. Don't be afraid to fly somewhere for the best deal.

You can look on here to get invoice pricing and see what others paid. @Titus_Will_Toyota will send you the invoice for a VIN if you ask nicely. There are at least 10 dealerships within a 100 miles of your house, it might be worth driving past 9 of them.

Thanks Shay, I will do that. You are right, that it's easy to find online. I will PM about the invoice, that would be helpful. I have VERY good credit and seems like that should still count for something :) I don't mind someone making a profit- if they didn't none of us would work right? :) I average 5,500 miles on any given month so I don't have a problem driving! :burnrubber:

Talk to Vu Tran at Family Toyota of Burleson. It's a long haul from Greenville, but he's great to deal with. We bought our last 3 cars all through him

He got me below invoice on my '17 TRDOR. Good, no BS sales guy. I refer everyone to him. It's much easier to deal with someone familiar and have repeat business with just to avoid the typical salesman BS back and forth game. It's worth it even if it may not be 100% numbers I want - I'd rather deal with someone I know than someone I dont

Thanks c3lvinnn, I'll write that down and give him a shout. I'll tell him you sent me over. I have a friend in Burleson, so once or twice over there wouldn't be bad.

Don't worry about wasting a salesman's time, they get paid to do what they do. Read around here to see what you want.

Do you want an Access Cab or a Double Cab with a short or long bed? Decide on the 3.5 V6 or the 2.7 I4. You know you want a 4wd, but do you want a base SR, a SR5, a TRD Sport, a TRD Off-road, a Limited or a TRD Pro? If you aren't sure go to the most convenient dealership to you and drive a few, sit in one with the tech package. See what the different colors look like in real life. Then say thanks and leave, don't buy a new vehicle your first visit.

Last time I used Toyota of Plano. Seemed pretty good. Have to go in for my 10k service soon and will be going there again.

Hey where in Greenville are you? Honestly I've bought from RockwAll and was not too pleased. I bought from sport city Toyota off 635/northwest hwy. my parent bought 3 cars there I've bought 2 and referred another 6 that have been back there. The guy I deal with is Jeff the scion guy. He is straight no bullshit. I traded one of my trucks in and bought it over the phone and they still gave me 1200 more than any other dealer sight unseen. They got exactly what I wanted and hav me a new Tacoma as a loaner until it came in.

Y'all please bear with me, I'm new to posting in forums in general. Great advice, I hadn't thought of it that way, not sure why. I just usually hate to waste peoples time and I was thinking of it that way.

I know I want a Double Cab- family and junk to carry around off and on. I was thinking short bed because if I need anything of substance, I'll either use one of the other trucks or take a trailer. I have no idea on the engine at all. Yes on the 4wd. Probably not a base, I do like the technology and backup camera. CRAWL looks interesting for the 2 times a year I would probably ever even consider needing it. I have always seemed to have the problem that I want some things from one package but not others- stuff like yes for the technology but no for the leather seating. I guess I could take it or leave it. One you tuber had carhart seat covers which I liked so I would probably cover them up anyway

Thanks man, you gave me a lot to think over. I will find a dealership and go by on my lunch break and look at a few things that you mentioned. I'm planning on looking all over here more too. I really do think I'm sold on a Tacoma in general.

I'm actually about 20 minutes South of Sulphur Springs, not too far from Yantis. I'll check out the sport city Toyota. I was wondering about a loaner- Can I "rent" one for a week or so somehow? One thing that does concern me is my back and how it's going to react to being in a midsized truck. Do the 2017's ride pretty smooth in general? Someone today warned me about a smaller truck beating me up but I doubt that would be any worse than my Jetta with the low profile tires.

I got a buddy in yantis off 276. Sport city if you buy it and they don't have it they give you a loaner of what your buying.
