i had staun knock offs, pain in the ass. They were REAL slow and werent easy to keep calibrated.

remember that bead i popped? Yeah one of them over deflated. Having used that style and the arb deflator, arb all the way

I've heard a lot of bad with the knock offs and a lot less bad with the real ones. Do you think the Arb is faster getting all 4 aired down?

I have some maxtrax, a bag of tools i use to work on my truck, pretty much all my camping stuff. I'm probably going to get a shovel that i can put on my bed rails. only other thing i'm worried about is maybe extra gas tanks, but most of the sections i'm going to be on are only like 150-200 miles max. I have a first aid kit as well. I imagine I'm gunna need some straps or something to get myself unstuck.

EDIT: And probably need an axe as well

Look into a hilift as well. That can help with all sorts of shenanigans should they arise. I bought a HD brand inflate/deflate thing like the ARB one. It sucks. Don’t do it. If you know about the Enchanted Rockies Trail, then I assume you know about the YouTube channel Lifestyle Overland. He has an Amazon store link in all his videos, that’s a pretty good place to start if you’re looking for gear.

Are you going solo? What do you have to use with the straps ie another vehicle, winch ect? If its not a muddy mess you likely wont need anything else as chance of getting stuck would be pretty low. A Hi lift might be needed in case you blow a tire and need to replace it but I prefer just about any other method over a high lift.

I was thinking something like a come along and a tree if im lucky enough to be near any. Don't have a lot of experience off roading so not sure about all the unsticking techniques. Will probably watch some videos on it

Ya thats where I got the idea for this trip from. It started off as just a trip to Ruidoso/Cloudcroft/Whitesands, but then I found his trip and its kinda evolved into me wanting to do the a few sections of the Enchanted Rockies trail. I'm still working out which sections, but apparently the Corona->Pecos is the most fun/technical and then the Pecos->Angel Fire is the prettiest (with the exception of the colorado points, but not enough time for those).

I'm probably going to be camping every night except for the Friday night since I will probably be getting in late somewhere. Not sure the wife wants to pull up into some random dark place shes never been before on the first night! I'd totally meet you out there if you're interested. Plus I can point at your rig and tell my wife all the things i HAVE to have!

I live in Dallas/mesquite . I’d be down to meet somewhere before we left . I don’t have much done but I do have a winch and tires and a lot of gear straps battery jumper .

Anyone's welcome to join! We could make a group of it if others are interested. I'm up in Denton! I'd be down to meet up in Red River or do the Trail with ya! Don't think my wife would mind. You're welcome to do whatever ya want! I still gotta nail down the specifics of where I wanna stay and how far I wanna go etc, but pretty much following his exact Trail.

Plus I need an excuse to meet some of these folk on here anyway!
