Just returned from a week of photography and camping in Utah. Didn't get to explore as far off the beaten path as I'd really would have liked, but a couple nights of 45mph wind gusts and my buddy's 4Runner Pro still running the stock P-rated tires were a few limiting factors. Spent most of the time in and around Grand Staircase Escalante. Need to do another round of dust-reduction sealing on the cap, but it was greatly reduced compared to what I had after Big Bend a few months ago with the limited sealing I did right before the trip.

If ya'll were going to buy a black locking plastic/composite tote to keep in the bed of your truck under a bed cover, what would you get? Btw: Plastic totes are wayyyyyy more expensive than I imagined.

I have two Pelican 1620s and one Pelican 1650 that are going on 12 years old that have stood the test of time and have been kicked off of C-130s overseas, on countless road trips in my truck bed, and through countless airports. Back when I bought them ROAM cases weren't on the market and there were very few choices.

How tough do you need and how big?

Pelican is the gold standard, they make every size, you can abuse the hell out of them and they have a no questions asked warranty, but they are $$$$. Check Craigslist, they pop up occasionally, especially around military bases so check ft hood/Killeen.

3 months and $3500 later. I finally got my truck back. I feel so tall.

Also, wife got me a Dragy for my birthday. We're about to find out just how slow a stock Taco is. Lol.

    Lots--
Selling some stuff I bought for the Taco that I didn't end up using. I actually have a lot of random stuff I'll be posting. But first. Brand new Warfab Warthog Front and Sliders with kickout:

I've got a brand new set of Warfab Patton Sliders with kickout -- and a Warfab front Warthog winch bumper-- both Powdercoated and sitting here in Grapevine.

WARTHOG BUMPER: Paid $850 for bumper and $150 for powder on it - asking $1k OBO. Not rushing to sell. Gotta pickup in Grapevine. I paid 350 to ship both bumper and sliders so I'm basically eating the shipping cost and selling this without a lead time.

PATTON SLIDERS: $750 plus $150 powder for Warfab Patton sliders. Asking $900 OBO-- They are hanging in my garage so they wont get scuffed up or anything. I'll add an actual pic of them later. Pics below are from Warfab's facebook. These are super slick sliders-- great protection with not too much of a kickout.

Let me know if anyone is interested. Note-- for 3rd gen Taco Double Cab (Sliders) -- Bumper works on all 3rd gens

Was there for work all last week. Took a trip to DC for fun in October.

I get spooked when I see/smell/hear? it in public. I never have indulged, but it’s still a foreign concept to consider it promoted vs. criminal.

Not knocking, just weird to think about living when it was and wasn’t legal.

Anyone from the DFW area thinking about going to the SPI meetup on 7/30/22? I'll be going, and have two plans in mind, either split the drive half on Friday stopping around Austin at one of the parks on the Colorado river or doing a straight shot leaving the DFW area around midnight to be at the meetup spot down there for the main drive into SPI.

I'm not going but SPI is way down there and Austin is not even close to halfway. Go farther if you plan to split it up.
