2wd conversion is going pretty well.

Converting to 2wd makes sense if you never use 4wd.

But in redemption, I patched some welds on my pit mid smoke with my little 115v flux core. The firebox door release snapped from hyper heating. Yes, they’re ugly. Yes, I’ve had enough drinks. Yes, this the second time I’ve welded flux core. No, I didn’t weld them the first go around.

I’ll rebuild it properly, but driving around the property with a welder in the bed and fixing my own pit made my pants fit funny.

    Welcome!

Bridgeport, Barnwell, Hidden Falls are the closest legal offroad parts.

There's also Lone Star or whatever in Grand Prairie/Arlington, but it's just a mud pit.

I need a lift. 6-ton jack stands are up as high as is safe, and my tires are on the ground.

I'll pull the tires and see where we're at.

I know that feeling. I bought a 15" extension for my floor jack and had to lift off my shackle hangers to get the tires off the ground. Then had to leave the jack in place doing one side at a time since I didnt have tall enough jack stands.
