    It's not a motor meant for boosted applications, thus why it's placed in those vehicles. I foresee a number of connecting rods creating windows in the blocks

    its the beginning of an aftermarket. once these guys boost it too high, and break stuff, someone will make a stronger part

    Nevermind that junky trans behind that motor. The driveline is the weakest part of the 3rd gen truck and will suffer badly behind a boosted application.

    Toyota is reliable for the most part. The 3rd gen was rushed into production and its showing now. Then you add the poor quality control from the factory and you get a lot of the issues that they have now.

    Yes, that I agree with. The guy that did the tune for the engine and tranny said it looked like a rush job. After the tune though its really nice, just sucks it needed to be tuned to make it feel like it should have from the factory. I was lucky with mine and the fluids were fine and I missed all the recalls and have none of those issues
