I think starting a new thread for the monthly meet would be the way to go. Direct all the non meet related bs into here.

I feel like that is lightly shrouded sarcasm/skepticism.

It was only mudding in a few low spots and in the large basin area, it wasn't very dusty, but there wasn't much wind either.

TTR has Turkey Trot coming up at Barnwell on Nov 11-13, should be a big group.

@Trailworx in Midlothian makes 3rd gen sliders and Dave is good people. He just posted of Facebook that bolt-ons are available for $600.

And if you can weld yourself or have a hook-up 4x innovations has a cheap kit that you can make work on anything.

Brave man, the most damage I've done to my sliders was at Bridgeport. Rocks jump out of nowhere.

I've only recently discovered this thread and had previously only lurked on the separate Dallas and Ft Worth threads. I bought my Tacoma in December but have only taken it offroad (in Bridgeport) twice since buying it. I was by myself so very reluctant to try anything but the easiest trails. I have a 5100 lift and 265's but otherwise stock. I'd be willing to meet up with a group out there sometime soon.

MUCH more control.... that place where you started sliding towards that tree and got winched out of was a piece of cake. You'd be fine without sliders as long as you're careful

I understand that.... I had to get my L rocker panel replaced after I smashed it out there one day prior to sliders. Sliders are great, but there is a lot of stuff in Bridgeport that doesn't require them

So where is this Bridgeport? I haven't been off roading in my Taco yet. Well, not like trails or anything.

I went out without sliders and didn't smash anything. I was being very cautious though. Sliders are definitely recommended for that place though.

Sliders have made that place a lot more fun for me anyway... a lot less to worry about. Especially when it was as muddy as it was when I was out there with @Zac of all trades .... Every turn you were in danger of sliding into something just about
