To be honest, I may move away from the Metric body. It's definitely cool looking but a pain in the ass to get it just right on the TRX chassis. The new chassis is a lot shorter, so not sure what would be next. Gotta be a Toyota body, though

Looking for new shocks for the Honcho, any recommendations? I don't see any fast paced stuff in my future, so just crawling and trails.

The lexan version was kinda ugly and definitely too long with the bed, so not sure if i want that. Hilux hardbody has come up as a possible option, but not sure I'm ready for that. I'd need to commission a body from @Tundra2Play as he's got to be pretty good with reshaping those hardbody cabs and beds.

In the meantime, i shaved the skid and made a small indent on the servo plate, to accommodate the panhard mount screw. Used a plastic brace in the back to suck in the side rails. I glued the receiver next to the ESC, removed the Bowhouse LCG Battery Tray and will run my 2200mah on the saddle opposite of the electronics. The rails don't look near as bent as they did before. Getting closer.

I'm located in CO and have this silly little RGT RC crawler for sale. They go for a little over $100 on Amazon, I'd take $80 shipped to your door.

Desert Lizards work great, never had any issues with mine. I prefer the 25-30 wt range in fluid. That being said, I believe my Fish Crawler Shocks are better suited for comping. They are much shorter than the DL I was running (110 mm for allll the flex), but still flex plenty, and instead of tires dropping into a hole, they will lift with the other side of the truck. Diff shock style, so diff driving type. No wrong answers, just another input.

I’m not hype on Fish’s shocks, as they’re just modified Axial shocks, but the style of setup, is what I like more. They’re a shorter shock, with plenty of travel. There are several ‘comp shock’ makers out there, and I imagine they’re all similar. Trx4 and Element shocks also have a high following.
