Holmes Hobbies finally emailed back. Motor is good to go with new sensor board and bearings. Cost totaled about $55 for rebuild, so I’m content with that. New one is a little over double that.

Holmes motor should ship out by tomorrow. Kinda wanna send the other one in, while no known issues, just for a fresh rebuild since I bought it used.

Ive been on nights since I got it, but I've ran in a little here and there. I really like it and I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the truck, crawling and batteries. Ive ordered an aluminum servo horn, aluminum links, and Im about to get new driveshafts and steering knuckles. Also looking at beef tubes, new beadlocks and tires. My 11yo is now more interested in his stampede because he drives it with me. So I got some Traxxas adaptors so he can use my batteries and the truck will last longer. Gonna try and take them to the beach tomorrow. Thanks for the advice/help guys!!!

P.S. There WILL be more questions! lol

Heck yeah! I highly advise asking before pulling the trigger on replacements/upgrades We’ve all bought plenty of stuff, to later remove, or buy something better, so we can def help on things you should/shouldn’t buy. Brass is your friend on certain components, where as other places, aluminum. Most importantly, just make sure you and the kid are having fun.

Also, we may be able to save some money on stuff if we have it in our spare parts. I have multiple sets of metal beadlocks, and some beef patties I can get rid of. The blue ones are 2.2” wheels, but I run 1.9 tires on them (as seen in pic - those tires are gone) that I would sell for $40, and some 1.9” RC4WD Deep dish wagon wheels that I “patina’ed” with beef patties $65. Can include BFG Krawlers, $25, but one has a couple small tears that need to be patched up.

How interested? I have someone else inquiring about them. (They’re listed for sale on several FB groups.)

Trailer revamp is complete. Pretty happy with the turnout. Only purchase I had to make was the paint. Also, got the SCX24 all put back together. She’s stretched out as far as I could get her, lol.

What are some good budget friendly options for replacement coilovers for the SCX10?
