Death Metal Garage is based out of there I believe. Jerry Justice is the owner and he does a lot of metal fabrication stuff, typically for Axial bombers mostly. Jason Eldridge is another local who’s extremely nice and I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to!

We gonna try something new for the comp. HT Lewisville had the Landmines in stock but only one pair of Canyon Trails. Decision made.

Also, the Web Halo foams worked pretty good the other day at White Settlement. Tires didn't really roll over on side hills so I think the Red/Blue combo worked pretty good for me. The crawler took a couple dips in the water and the foams didn't retain any water. They're already better than CI foams just for the water aspect alone. I've got no apprehension of venting tires with these style foams.

I upgraded from stock foams to the CI foams, but didn’t go soft enough on the fronts... They don’t wrap as much as I want.

I believe @ThorsTRD was going more firm and went from having yellow (front), and blue (rear) to also running blue (front) and red (rear).

TGH released another batch of wheels, which were designed to tuck onto the Capra axles yesterday, so ordered a set of them for the c1. Hopefully they’ll suck in tight enough I can ditch the fender flares and be legal.

Gary’s been doing it. Last I heard from him, they did much better on his heavy rig. They’re only a couple dollars, and I would expect them to perform just that well lol.

C1 wheels arrived yesterday, so went ahead and threw the choodoo’s on. Tried a couple diff foam options, first being to trim some open cell foams. Cut them in half width wise, then removed about an inch to decrease OD. Failed due to glue hardening and creating a hard spot and pushing out on the tire. Can’t really tell from pics, but no bueno! Next option, cut some CI closed cell foams. Much better results. Looks to be right at 7.5” track width from center to center of tire, which is right about where the fender width is, so will close on not needing fender flares. Now she’s just waiting on the body to be vandalized and shipped back. Fun rig for sure!

I wonder how shoe goo or e6000 would work for reconnecting the ends of the foam...

Not sure. I didn’t have any, or it would have been my first choice. Also could be that I glued the whole surface area, and put a bead of glue down all the seams, when I prob could have gotten away with much less lol

Word. Probably a dab on each corner of the inner diameter and a light line to lock on the outer diameter. That way it holds, but is still flexible.

Sooo, last week I was approached by a company to test a new prototype servo they’re working on. The numbers are comparable to that of a Futaba A700, but but slightly stronger, faster, and around $150  They’re working on 2 diff models, one powered via rx, the other direct power 4S capable. I got the one powered via rx, and it’s output numbers are superrrr high lol. Supposed to output 5v - 700+, 6v - 900+, 7.4v 1100 +, and 8.4v - 1200+!! I do have a YouTube link showing testing, but it’s a private link. o_O Cost me nothing and I get to beat on it and give my opinion, and when will get a final version when they release, so it seems like a win win!:thumbsup:
