I’m not super picky honestly. Mostly just needing something to copy. I want to build my own chassis.

Went and trailed Sansom Park. NSDRC servo never missed a beat. Accidentally submerged it in creek for aprox 45 secs and it kept on trucking.

Did you attempt to use the roof winch point bracket yet?

Finished the new body. Still need to do door handles, the grill and tail light buckets, so she can have headlights and taillights.

Quite the contrary, as I painted the inside gun metal, so “ideally” as it scratches away it should show metal. Never attempted this before, so expectations may, or may not match reality. :anonymous:

Took the bouncer out to the local dog park to hit the trails/washouts. Noticed best results, on 4S, turning my throttle dual rate down to about 85%. Seemed to help the truck pull straight when going WOT. Hammered on that front end, with no regards for that prototype NSDRC servo and it took it like a champ. Blew out two trx4 rods ends before calling it a day. That servo (NSDRC RS1) has my approval after brutal testing. New foam and shock setup seems to be working well! Spoke with mfg yesterday, and they’re sending me a diff model (4S direct power capable I believe) to test, and will be sending this one back for them to open and inspect. Shift is also about to release a non direct power servo that utilizes same gears as x2, which has had zero gear breakages thus far, from anyone. Lots of good servos hitting the market these days. Biggest difference I can see, the one strength video I’ve seen, shift was way under (couple hundred oz off their labeled torque #’s.), and NSDRC throw some extremely high #’s.

In the front, AKA 1/8 truggy foams, in rear I have the truggy foams wrapped around the 2.2 voodoo open cell foams. The truggy foams are only about 1/2” thick, total, but same width as these. Idea is some absorption up front, and bounce the rear up behind it. Tried thinking out of the box. We’ll see how it plays out long term. Used some airline tubing to limit the shocks, both directions.

I accidentally tripped, and fell on a smoking deal.:anonymous: Finished the raw build, minus shocks right at 8 hours, while watching tv. Didn’t use the electric screwdriver near as much as I would have thought. First new kit I think I’ve built. She will be a mega mud truck, instead of an SMT. I’m excited! This was what I wanted to build before stumbling into the rock bouncers.
