So you built it start to finish as soon as I left? LOL

Bomber is back running with a Protek servo and all is good. Just need to experiment with some gearing to see if I can get it to jump on 3S. It's fast, but needs a little more oomph. I forgot how much fun it can be to drive.

I need better foams in mine. It has zero sidewall stiffness. All my beadlock rings are rashed.

I'm running Crawler Innovation single stage Deuces Wild. They're too stiff for crawling, but seems to work for fast stuff. U4 racing still seems like it would be fun on a good course.

Did you run an interior in your Metric body? If so, which one was it?

I used a cut up deadbolt body for my interior.

That’s exactly how it went down lol.:anonymous: Tried to start Hanna, but as you said, it needs to be actually watched. After several rewinds, I decided ‘Weediquete’ was a more suitable background noise/watch. Have wheel/tires/hubs on order. Just need to decide on body and power plant. Likely the mamba x and 4000kv+ motor. Goal is to act like a Jesus lizard and stay on top of the mud, rather than in it. We’ll see!

There’s some rear chassis bars, that prevent it from sitting exactly where I’d like, so with some mild trimming, taco body might be a contender! If info that route, I’ll prob cut out the bed to where it’s only bedsides, and Remove rear window so it will be a full open back. In theory, that might help release mud, instead of it all caking under the bed, and no tailgate creating drag. Considered trying an old fj40/60 style body, but dimensions play a big factor, and don’t have any of those laying around to test fit. Doesn’t look bad on the TSL’s either!

Even if he doesn’t want to build it, I know a guy that enjoys that part.

Hell yeah, more tacos, more better! Might have to take you up on that sway bar, just until mine get here, and can return it to ya. Preordered front and rear from rh designs last night. Not sure the exact time until they’re supposed to be done. Wheels should be getting cut tomorrow.

Received the other servo to test, NSDRC rs800 v2. Direct or rx power options. Handles up to 4S direct power so no UBEC would be needed. Came with a clamping servo horn as well. It’s installed on the bouncer and will test at this sundays comp. Just left HT Lewisville, and Adam donated 3x $20 gift cards to give away to the top 3 of the bouncer comp!

Got my Wraith back together after sitting in a closet for 8ish (I think) years. Just waiting for the shocks to get here tomorrow and need to pick up a new battery and she'll be ready to rock. Planning to pick up some aluminum body panels as well since the stock ones are nowhere to be found. Also have a GMade R1 sitting in a box from around the same time I never finished building so thats next up on the list though it will take me a while to get it done. And a Losi Lasernut is on the shortlist as well. Hopefully for my birthday in March. Excites to get back into RC. And my fiance is excited as well. Probably let her take over the Wraith once I get the Lasernut and then get her her own RC for her birthday in July.

If you’re not busy, on Sunday, we’re having an event in Garland at Duck Creek (Grainger rec center). Should come check it out. There will be class 1, class 2, and rock bouncer classes.

GMade Zero shocks showed up today. Hopefully I'll have a chance to assemble them tonight and have this thing running when the Gen's Ace battery gets here tomorrow. Then I can break it and not have the money to fix it again lol. 20210122_154710.jpg 20210122_154558.jpg

Crappy weekend for me RC wise....I don't even know where I finished in the crawler comp, but I'd be lucky if I was in the top 50% (6 gate hits and 3 winches at 19mins). I think my foams are too soft, so ordered one stage heavier of the Web Halo's. Ottsix says that the black/red combo is recommended for 9lb+ rigs, but the tires are rolling over too easy on the Red/Blue setup at 8lbs. Gonna move the reds to the front and put the new blacks in the rear. Winch line also broke while trying to get flipped back on the wheels. It was a bad spot and I was asking a lot from the winch line. I got it flipped back over, but had no winch to finish out the course. Once I had a couple problems, I started driving sloppier knowing it was a lost cause.

I attempted the bouncer courses with the Bomber but had wheel hexes and the pins fail on me. By the end, I only had 2WD (both on the right side) so it would no go straight at all. I noticed a gap between the pin and the axle bearing and think that may be stressing that pin when a wheel hits hard. I ordered some shims to try to fill that gap along with Vanquish clamping hexes and pins. The courses were great but wish I could've survived.
