Well, for now, I'm sticking with the 2S batteries I have, so I'll pass on the BEC.

Ordered a light kit with white and red LED's and lights to fit the stock 5 pod light bar. I went with the cheap light controller since i didnt care about turn signals and reverse/brake lights. I just want some light for night crawling. I think I'm going to paint the Deadbolt body on the outside just to change it up from the stock green. May even try using plastidip. Eventually, I'll change to a different body, but still not sure which I want. Still working on performance mods and beating up this body.

i think i need to reset my electronics. Or at least my receiver. From what i have read online there was one guy that i found that seemed to be having the same problems and his problems went away after he reset the esc and receiver.

So i will be looking up how to do that later today...

On a better note... the fine line tape came in! Now its time to wash and paint the K5!

Anyone else have off on Friday? I think that would be the last "warm" day for a couple weeks.

If you ever want to give it a try let me know. I have planes you can try and get a feel for. Also have some that are cheap and easy to fix. I got some more aerobatic planes too if you ever want to give it a try.

Its much easier than you would think. Just a matter of knowing your limits. People trying to fly in conditions that are not worth it. The most fun is when you build a cheap foamy and do full contact combat.

Picture about 10 planes in the air trying to hit each other. Its hella fun.

I have the plans and you can build the plane for $20. Plus you would need a cheap ESC/motor (~$30) and two servos (~$10). But usually the electrics are a one time purchase. You just pull them out and toss them in the next frame. I have had a couple of wires cut by the other dudes prop, but usually its on the servo and you just buy the super cheap micro servos. Not worth repairing.

If you can find a cheap TX/RX you're good to go. My dad likes building them. If we asked he could have us a fleet in a week or so.
