U4 races sat, but you’d rather go ride your bike...

 

Last weekend my kid is in town and she wants to do a bike race

 

Do you even flexxx bro??? Got 4” up on each end. Chassis seems to stay flat while axles are twisting. Swapped the rear steel axle, stuffed it with marine grease and installed. Feels a lot heavier than the scales say, 7 lbs. We’ll see how she does.

 

A couple pics I found on FB of mine and @Zac of all trades rigs at the comp on Sat. It was TOOOO hot on sat for that to be enjoyable. Glad I got the experience and to see how they work (incredibly slow, and time consuming) so prob won’t be doing much of those anymore. Prob check out the next trail run they do, but who knows.

Lol, I just clicked ‘going’ about 5 mins ago. Need to swap some parts back onto the deadbolt, but would def like to check out.

 

Yep, saw the FB post about being ready for this weekend and looked at the event page. I could get on board with this one. The comp was just brutal.

 

Damn so much shit happening on the 21st, cars n coffee, taco meet, now this? Fkkk i need a headlight

 

Yeah, between the heat and it being a trail run, seems more enticing than the comps. Got some KO2’s and some plastic beadlocks for one of the rigs. Because of the rock rings I wanted to put them on the truggy, but their size/no wheel spacer makes me kinda not.

 

Did you go with KO2s for scale or what?

 

Finally came in. Been needing to get new tires for a while now as my front driver tire has a hole in the side and water gets in. Also found out that i lost one of my bead lock screws...

• lil nova soft outer fronts 4.75
• lil nova med outer rears 4.75
• same tires as these things have been beast for me. showdown's 4.6
• some shock oil for an experiment and future shocks...

 

Goodies!!!

 

Goodies installed! Fresh foams and tires! I spent some time last night carving out slots for my wheel weights with my dremel, wasnt too bad.
I have to say that my tires feel way better with these lil nova foams! Im excited to see what they can do.

Also trimmed the front and rear bumpers a bit to get some more clearance.


Also as an FYI... Some guides to buying these foams...

 

Anybody up for some rc today?

 

I would be, but have to wait until Hobbytown opens at noon. Approximately 2 mins on the brushless setup and the SCX10 plastic trans gears stripped. HT Lewisville shows to have the Axial and Incision Steel gears, so maybe I can get it fixed today. My guess is the spur gear will fail next.

 

That's crazy. Ive been running brushless for long time.

 

Ive got a twin hammers i want to try out

 

I was driving it inside right after I installed the Castle motor/ESC i got from John. One of the tires started to climb the coffee table leg and then it stopped and I heard a gear strip out. Opened up the transmission case this morning and the middle gear had flatspotted.

 

Yup my gears did the same thing. Swapped them out a couple months ago.

I get off at 4 so i will be game after that to crawl.
