I've developed this rattle that I have narrowed down to the front passenger side. Somewhere behind the headlight. It is most noticeable when I shut a door. I can hear it when I'm driving down a dirt road, but I can't really get an idea of where it's coming from while that's happening. It sounds like metal on metal. I do have a light bar behind the lower grill and have checked that. Has anyone else heard this before? I'm going to just take it in to the dealer without an appointment tomorrow and see if they can give me a quick diagnosis.

My truck does that, but it's because I don't have the back end of my transfer case skid plate bolted up. Any skids?

Check the front skid. Maybe they took it off for an oil change and didn’t fully tighten it

I haven't heard anything from the front end. Just the usual MT clunks.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
This. I had a slightly bent skid plate and it was touching the front support(?) where the tow hook goes. You can easily bend it back or away.

I can hit the bottom of the skid plate with my hand and it will vibrate against whatever metal is directly behind it. All the bolts are tight, but the front hooks look uneven. I don't know how to better describe that, but one side you can visibly see is sticking out of the front and the other is flush with the hole in the skid plate. There's no obvious damage to make me think I bent it. I'm going to remove it and reinstall it to see if I can get it to line up better and stop making the rattle. If not, then maybe it's a good excuse to invest in a Pro skid. :D

    UPDATE:
One of the nuts on my light bar bracket was loose causing it to rattle.

    FIXED
