My Diamondback cover has been on my truck since 2019. Sitting in the AZ sun has dulled it.

I decided to try the ToughCoat renew. My hardware was not looking to well either so I removed it before coating. I taped off the weather strip and areas that didn't need to be coated. The coating was easy to apply with a foam roller and small brush. It looks really good but the pictures didn't capture it well.

I thought I would post this in case anyone was thinking of trying it. It is definitely worth it. Made it look new again.

Looks good. Do you just apply one coat?

Technically it's two coats but it is done all at once. I did a first coat to cover everything and then just went over the same areas. It says to use the entire bottle, so you just keep apply it until it's gone.

As someone who notoriously tries to make products last too long, I fully appreciate the “use until gone” instructions.

Diamondback warranties the hardware for life, even for the finish. Mine was bad so I put in a claim and sent them pictures of it. They approved it and sent me new hardware.

I got it all back together today.
