@huskyhog0317 check out them Yakima and Thule bed rack systems. Those are taller than the FRO racks and have some height adjustability.

Will do. I was just looking at the Yakima adjustable racks but haven’t looked into the Thules yet. Thanks for the heads up.

Anyone here use either of the above with their DB’s, specifically running at the cab rack height?

SB or LB? @Al Hoff just got some measurements off me for a LB. He might have the measurements you need already.

Stuck on whether to get this for security and waterproofing, or save the $2k towards something else and just get an RCI rack for my RTT, using strongboxes for storage of gear. Has anyone been through a similar dilemma and can speak to it? I think the cost is prohibitive, especially noting no discounts or promo codes in sight :p

Had to remove my cleats for the KB Voodoo rack, but I still wanted tie down points. Saw someone on here talk about L track. It’s fantastic! Have to order some shorter pieces for the front half, due to lack of room under the voodoo brackets.

There have been multiple group buys on here getting up to 15% off. The Diamondback is one of those things where once you have it you understand why it costs what it does. Especially being made in the US. I get that the cost is a lot, but that does not mean it is not priced correctly.

Oh, not disagreeing that it isn't priced right, more just stating for me personally I am not sure if it is worth that kind of money to me. Im sure if I just sucked it up and got it, no regrets, but its just pulling the trigger :p

It’s a simple question of “do you want to be able to lock up all of your stuff stored in the bed or not?” Only you can answer that.

It would be worth it alone for being able to keep everything locked up in the back after a day at the range/scuba gear/fishing equipment/etc and you had to run into a store on the way home. If you have power tools, same thing plus the ability to keep em out of the elements and out of the line of sight of shitty people.

It just turns your entire bed into a giant toolbox. If that’s what you need, then buy it. If you don’t need to keep your random weekend camp chair and your You Beti cooler locked up, then don’t.

Yeah after talking it over and thinking about it, I do see why it would be the perfect fit. Despite price, the security, longevity, and durability is worth while. Also has the front runner rack upgrade that I would definitely like to do for the RTT. Adds a lot more utility to the bed over a normal RCI or other rack. *pulls out credit card warily*

Thanks! 14” but after the tonneau brackets, it’s about 16.5”.

Finally got my Frontrunner tracks and bars installed. Really liking this setup and the height that the tent sits at.
