Sorry, I've been sick lately. I'll try and get to this in a little. I got alot of catching up to do with work and around the house first though.

Not sure if it’s a true mod, but does ArmorAll on the DB cover count? I think it makes it more aerodynamic and adds approximately 3mpg’s.(On a serious note, anyone know if that’s good or bad for the Diamondback covers?)

Got it detailed last weekend. First real wash for over half a year. I think it still had some Arizona dirt (Coconino NF dirt to be exact) in the engine bay from the Overland Expo West 2019 10yr. Anniversary.

I pieced it together. Since I have a long bed I needed longer tracks and the kit only comes for ones the length of a shortbed Diamondback from what I've seen.

I have the following brand new, never installed items (could do some trading):

    • Endeavor shelf: $450
    • Front Runner track 2 pieces (200mm): $40
    • Front Runner track feet 2 pieces (for racks, rails, RTT, etc): $80

I have already put the shelf together and if it is not sold locally (I'm in Oklahoma), I will ship it fully assembled as there are too many bolts to take it back apart. Will come with all mounting hardware and I'll cover the cost to have it professionally packaged up. Shipping charges will reflect it being fully assembled, but I will do my best to work with you on those fees.

The Front Runner items have shipping included in their price. The tracks can be found on their website, but the feet you have to call/email them to get a special invoice created for you to purchase.

I was originally going to mount this on top of my DB bed cover, but quickly realized I would need to buy another set of front runner feet to make that happen and overall have decided to go another route by fabricating exactly what I want.

Anyone know if there is a bracket that goes across the diamondback from one cleat to another that you can attach traction board or rotopax to?
Looking for a non invasive way to attach some traction boards to the top of one of the panels.

Does any vendor except Diamondback Covers sell the Front Runner rack kit for the diamondback? It is out of stock and has been for a while... My diamondback is on order, as is my RTT, and would love to get a rack to install right away!

I don't think the actual kit is out yet even though it is listed on DBs website. That is what Frontrunner told me a few weeks ago.

If you want it now you can email Frontrunner support and tell them you want the LLOD Diamondback setup and they will have you create an account and will add the custom pieces to your cart. Doing it this way you'll have to cut the tracks yourself.

Or, you can wait a few weeks/months until the kit is actually released and hope you get it before it sells out!

i have 2 of the feet and the track that goes in between of the two panels, brand new I can sell ya. You can contact front runner to get the other 2 feet, long track and crossbars. Then you’ll have everything.

Hmmmm tempting. I contacted FR and DB about it. Pending timeline for full kits, I'll hit you up for some of the parts you have!

I’m running into a small dilemma. I have a DCSB DB on and purchased an aluminum voodoo 10” short bed rack with the tonneau covers. Prior to installing I installed some rubber (.2” thick) on the contact areas the rack will sit on top of the DB. I’m finding that the holes do NOT line up. A few days ago I tried to force the rack down and tried bolting while pressing down hard on the rack. This resulted in threading the bracket and I had to get another one from Voodoo. It feels like the voodoo brackets should be another .5 inches taller in order for things to work easily.

so before I try this again, I’m asking in here to see if anyone else has placed any rubber between the voodoo rack and the DB so that the metal on metal contact will not destroy the finish of the DB. One of my friends saw my problem and suggested to make my own brackets to compensate for the tight fit. But I dropped a grand on the Voodoo products and think the price I paid, I shouldn’t have to make my own solution.

I cut up an old rubber boot and put small squares under the contact areas.

Hi all, I’m new to the diamondback cover I just got the 2005-2015 se. I was told by diamondback that it’s the older model and the new ones hold a lot more weight due to how they’re constructed.

may some point I’d like to have a tent on it, are there any racks out there that would be safe to use? I’ve seen a lot that don’t exactly look like they’re relying on the diamondbacks structure for its support.

Hi folks, I’m about to order a diamondback se and I’m wondering if there exists a way to put two cross bars on the same panel and then mount some sort of cargo basket on it.

    Thanks

I'm sure it is possible, but Diamondback has some pretty nice cargo bins that would be easier and they are removeable, if needed at times, for extra storage.

Those are some pretty interesting bins. I carry my gear in the bed and wanted something on the outside like a cargo basket where I could carry firewood.

Why not straight on top of the DB cover? ...strapped down to the cleats.
