Doesn't have any serial number from what I know. But I know I was in contact with them when I got it because I messed up the date on registration. So shouldn't be an issue.

Not really worried nor surprised to be honest. Aluminum welds are well known to break not just from them.
Already plan to put an angle aluminum piece and rivet it.

Hell even if they give me a new one I'll be reinforcing it.

My concern really is if they make me pay shipping etc. Being in Canada. Might not even be worth it after shipping. But we'll see.

If it was the cover I'd be more concerned.

I wouldn’t worry Joe23 , Diamondback will be good for it. My headache rack has a serial number on the underside of a crossbar.

    Absolutely love it. Questions.

    1) does it cover the back window at all
    2) does that smooth surface scuff if you walk on it
    3) easy to install even for someone not very handy?

Got my DB-hd, front runner bars, headache rock and bedslide shortly before living out of my truck for a month. Big $ and big improvement over an open bed with bed bars. Finding the right combination of weather tight containers for the open bed was hard enough, then having to unpack all of them to get to something towards the front was always a real pain. Really big organization, security and convenience upgrade with this stuff.

1- not really. Can definitely see it in rear view
2- it's bedliner. I think line-x mine is holding up well. Stand on it a bunch.
3- super easy. Hardest part is sealing the bed.

    1) Just a little bit at the bottom...if you see my 906 sasquatch sticker on the passenger side, there is the word 'explorer' under that and I placed the sticker along the bottom edge of the window. The cover itsself does not touch the window in any way though

    2) I haven't noticed anything yet and the coating seems very top notch.

    3) YES. The hardest part for me was getting the T30 bolts out without stripping them. I haven't done the silicone seal either. Water inside is very minimal even with the crazy downpours I have gotten the last couple of days. I plan to do it, just lazy..lol I did it by myself. Oh adjusting the locks are kind of a pain but not horrible.

Thanks!! On number 1, I assume that the visibility is not impacted? I think the cover sits below the back seats?

Yeah, I'm wondering if anyone has had luck with alternative clamps or something. I keep a wrench in the bed just for taking it on and off, probably the best I can do at this point. I am often working solo, and I admit to being lazy once or twice and not fully deconstructing the cover before removing it. Went about as well as you'd expect. I wish I had the garage space to build a hoist or something :/ but city living is what it is.

I watched this vid about removing it, it looked very simple and not too long to do it. I would think since the lock mechanism would already be adjusted for the bed width its really only a matter of re-clamping and reattaching the panels. But check it out, it convinced me this would be the best cover for what its capable of.

Need some sort of latch style clamp similar to what's always put in bumpers for tire swing outs

I blatantly plagiarized @AtomicRyan and built an Atomic Rack of my own. This is a brilliant design. I still think that Diamondback/Front Runner should sell these and give @AtomicRyan royalties.

Has anyone with a crossbin encountered the issue where the crossbin would dig into the front rail crossmember and its sill covers? I removed the tie-down hook on the front side of the bed to push the bin all the way to the front and maximize space, but it seems inevitable with the crossbin shifting while driving.

    Driver side:

    Passenger side:
    crossbin passenger.jpg

Any solutions? I don't think it's worth to replace the crossmember as the damage has been limited, but a bit disappointing nonetheless.

Not sure if the asspensive $60 OEM rubber plugs would even help.

I used t-nuts to bolt the bin to the side rails, & tig welded a plate to bin for extra strength to bolt it if I remember right. Solid for 2 years now.

Sorry for the late reply. I was up in North Georgia in the mountains having some fun.

I basically just bought two of the 3' length of Aluminum bars at Lowes or such (1/8"x1/2"), cut them in half, and doubled them up for each side. So the final measurement of the bars I created are like 1/4"x1/2"x18". I then wrapped them in electrical tape so that they don't separate.

These bars then just sit just inside of the gasket of the Diamondback, on top of the truck bed wall, and just under the metal lip of the Diamondback. They are not as tall as the gasket, so the gasket is still compressed and remains watertight. The weight is mainly on the sides of the bed instead of the tailgate. Due to the weight of the RTT, I haven't had issues with the bars migrating. On heavy trails or a lot of vibration, they might, but this fix is more to just make my tailgate open easier when at camp and lessen the wear on my gasket. I adjust if needed when i get to camp.

I'll add pics when I can.

Has anyone had a problem with the cross-bin falling down? I had quite a bit of weight in it and it fell down and was pretty difficult to get back in place.

Get the t nuts that fit the rail. I got mine from Amazon for $30 with Allen head bolts. Drill and bolt down won't shift anymore.

I suggest a little dab of blue (medium) strength thread lock as well as prior to using it I've had them loosen on me a little
