I appreciated the discount as an Army veteran. I also received the discount on some, not all qualify, of my other DB purchases. I mentioned in a previous post about ordering with the complete complement of cleats as I added cleats after initial purchase.

Wow, that does not even look bad. Mine was also oversprayed and the linex was much thicker on the letters.

Yeah honestly I haven’t even noticed at all on mine the difference. Makes sense that under spray is less noticeable I guess. Either way, nice to save some $$!

Seems to do a good job and I didn’t add any additional weather stripping. Excited to hear what you think of it once you get it on the truck.

Hah my bad, I thought you said oversprayed! To be honest, I like that undersprayed better as it makes the letters pop out more.

Agreed, mine has held up well to every storm since install. I check after every heavy rain and of course car washes to see how she does and it’s a pretty solid protection. I also didn’t add any weather stripping from stock.

I did not know you could add a RTT to the DB. That would be a sweet set up I think.

Finally! Someone that got the non-black version. I'm thinking of going this route as well in hopes that it not being black means under the cover won't get as hot. 3rd grade science class haunts me. I will have to transport expensive electronic equipment and leave it in the bed for days at a time.

If I knew then what I know now I would seriously consider getting the aluminum finish and then apply a heat reflective coating prior to install. It sounds like I’m beating a dead horse but it can’t be underestimated how hot the DB gets with the black coating.

I think I saw one persons MPG increased as a result of adding a DV cover. Did anyone else notice if their MPG went up or down?

It's held up well. 3 years, no oxidation and still looks new. Plus you'll save $300. on the black paint.

That actually makes a lot of sense for what you have to do. It does get a bit hot to the touch from underneath, and does trap a decent amount of heat.
Ooh, heat reflective coating sounds kinda cool. My only personal issue is that I like to slide stuff on the cover so it would scratch up real quick.
No oxidation at all? That’a awesome.

A few times this summer when the weather was nice I would forget how hot these covers got and laid my arm on top. So hot I think I could have grilled on it.

I got my new truck last Saturday - and put on the DB when I got home - so I've had it on my new truck for about a week. I think it is great. I have a few leaks at the bulk head (I took off the cap and did the weather stripping). The leaks are only when I go through a car wash and they are at a minimum. I can look at sealing it better but I keep a Pelican case up near the cab and the leaking is not an issue.I love the cover so far.

I would say yes since the price of a new SE right now is 1,899.
    Also, welcome to TW!

Is the HD the finish that you want? Is it in like new or excellent condition? Do you need the extra carrying capacity of a HD? Does it have all the OEM h/w? Buying new gets you a warranty. These are things to think about.

it doesn’t really matter to me the trim of the model.z they are close enough for me. Just thought it was a good enough deal to not split hairs between the SE or this HD which is a god price
